If SMU calls in and says the entire team is sick and we forfeit the game, is Alabama out?

SMU should consider forfeiting the game, as surely they could not get penalized and left out of the playoffs in that scenario. It would not give the committee another "data point"

that lost their all world QB. Smart decision by them.
So QB injuries should be taken into account?

Because it wasn’t this year

It’s like yall forget that Bama beat this SC team you think should jump us

Ole Miss helps protect Bama here as USC barely lost to Bama at Bama BUT
Ole Miss boat raced USC at USC.

It becomes a Bama v. Ole Miss analysis where USC isn't really considered bc Ole Miss dominated USC in Columbia.

Of course not.

The committee has shown that they are singularly lacking in integrity and consistency over their 10+ year existence. They are going to do what it takes to put their ratings darlings in the playoffs.

The narrative for weeks has been that a team that wins their regular season conference “title” will not be penalized if the lose their conference championship game. If Clemson wins, they are in, and so is SMU. Alabama will be out.

Thats not what they just said today. They said they will consider how the games are played and what happens blah blah blah....

Meaning they sure as hell will drop SMU out and put in Alabama if given any chance at all

If the committee agrees.

They don’t. Said as much in interviews after.

“Could you see a scenario where SMU gets left out?”

“Yes”

Now as to what that means, we will probably get an idea Saturday

Well the ACCCG, most likely will be either a close game or an SMU blowout. Clemson isn’t blowing out SMU.
