Yes he basically gets to handpick his team every year. Such a miracle worker.

I thought Bama was about team first and never gave any respect to the Heisman? circa 2008

I never said that but in any event, recruiting has changed that entirely, for good or bad.

I don't think any of that has changed. Saban is consistent about the message that what you do to prepare, execute and do all of things necessary to better the team is a first principle. Yet, he is also consistent that he appreciates all of the award recognition and self-gratification that goes along with it for his players, but it is not the focus. Team goals are the focus. Plus, as a recruiting boost, he can't deny its impact

If Young wins, Bama will have gone from 0 Heisman winners to 4...all in a 12 year time period. Under Saban, Bama will be averaging one Heisman winner every 3 years.
He’s going to win by a landslide, and even as an OU fan i wouldn’t mind seeing the kid win it a 2nd time simply based on the fact that he doesn’t get the respect he deserves and this year seems to be getting written off nationally as a shite year from a Heisman standpoint.

How many schools have covered qb, wr, and RB?

So clearly that one year trumps everything that Bama has done under Saban

The old saying was "At Bama we don't win Heismans, we win national championships".
Now we just win both.

Also, you need to separate what Saban is doing versus what Bama is without him. Enjoy it while it last, because it won't.
You’re not too smart, are you?

Will Anderson is going to win it next year.
