...and OM reps the west, Bana WILL be in th playoff.
I actually think this is the best scenario for both teams.
Frick LSU.

Yeah that's what it is looking like. If Bama beats LSU they will be the #1 team.

And TCU won the CFP last year

News Flash, Forrest, neither can possibly go undefeated...

Pretty please let this happen.
OM goes to Atlanta ( ). And the rest of college football has a collective heart attack after the scenario in the OP

Won't happen because Bama and Ole Miss will beat LSU. Then State runs the table. Dawgs in the SECCG.

Conference title is the number one criteria supposedly. These early rankings are just for excitement. If Ole miss and Bama were to win out and there were a spot available for an sec team it's all Hotty Toddy. You still need to hope for an ole miss loss.

If that happens, Memphis will be 4, Ole Miss 5 and Bama 6.

Not if Florida runs the table. a 1 loss SEC champ vs. one that didn't win its own division.

Ole miss has no business being in the playoffs after losing to Memphis.

They may only be #2, but they won't drop out of the top four if they win out. Now, if Alabama was only 6 or 7 right now, and only rose as far as 4 after this weekend, then yeah, they might drop them to 5 when it's all said and done. But no way a #2 Alabama would get excluded at the end.

No way OM gets a sniff by the committee.

Memphis isn't a bad team.

No way they could leave out Florida but who knows

If they beat Arkansas, LSU, MSU and Florida the will certainly be in the mix. I don't think that happens but they would have the best collection of wins in CFB by a long shot. Still, they have to hope for Stanford and ND to both have two losses at seasons end
