If an aunt is a bitch, is it a coincidence that aunt starts with AU?

"Auburn in the playoffs" just doesn't sound right

Doubt it. You would still be a two loss NON conference championship team.

You could have beaten Clemson at the beginning of the year and if you still lost to LSU and Georgia in the SECC you probably would not have gotten in even though you beat 3 of the teams that would be in.

Once you lost the rematch SECC game, the Bama win was considered a "fluke" by all the committee.

It sucks but it is what it is and I do believe that a fully healthy Auburn is one of the top 4 teams.

I was wondering the other day what would have happened if we had beat Clemson but still lost to LSU and UGA in SECC. Does Bama get in over us? Does OSU get in over us as a conference champion? Would Clemson then get left out and we take their spot? It would be pretty crazy to leave out a team that would have beaten 3/4 current playoff teams but I think it could've happened. One of these years something like that is gonna happen and it's gonna be a mindfrick for the committee.

No. They get in over Georgia, not Bama.

If Clemson lost to Auburn AND Syracuse, they would probably be left out. If they just lost to Auburn, they are in.

In this day and age, it wouldn't be wise to assume anything.
Better question: which bathroom would she/he use?

obviously - beating two top 5 teams and having one loss in which injuries played a major role, would certainly get them into the playoff
