Will they use Marshall not playing one series as an excuse?

For a QB who can't throw, you guys sure are excited to play one who can.

No excuse. Nick Marshall will probably only miss one series would be my guess.

If we lose it will most likely be due to Bert eating Nick Marshall because Bert is "big boned".

Auburn is going to ROLL in that game. 3 scores at minimum.

So is Marshall overhyped and overrated or not?

Think kozan is a bigger loss.

With bringing in JJ, it's about him not being in sync with offense the same way Marshall is bc of lack of playing time

How cute, the Hogs are getting more confident. It seems more than Bert's waistline is growing in Fayetteville.

Eh I actually think this decreases our chances for a win

A. Bert don't have much tape on jj
B. If Marshall had start and we rattled him then got lead, your back up plan was an unproven jj
C. We rattle jj and get ahead, Gus puts the veteran Marshall into the game and he settles the team down leading them back to victory :(

Haven't you read...J Johnson is the second best QB in the SEC only to Marshall.

Only legitimate excuse is if it rains on Aug 30th.

So does Malzahn.

How many reps do you give JJ with the ones? That's an unknown at this point. If Malzahn had just suspended Marshall for the whole game he wouldn't have to worry about preparing two quarterbacks.

The hogs will have a difficult time ever beating Gus. History with the hogs will compel Gus to bring his A+ game each time he plays Arkansas. Gus will always have Auburn emotionally charged for Arkansas.

Yes, this really sets up perfectly for Gus. If they beat us handily without Marshall he gets to be the disciplinarian and give the subtle middle finger to Arkansas for winning with his backup. If they need Marshall he gets to play, etc.
