They will lose this weekend, but they won't get a hot coach like that.

They'll go after an assistant from another school.

Could have gotten him after last season but decided to hire Petrino and give Sam another year.

If you’ve ever been to the Ville, it is sad. It’s like this constant feeling of “what the frick” when I drive by our beautiful campus, football stadium and practice facilities, and all other athletic facilities. At least we have T&F and basketball.

The real reason for years that highly offered high school recruits don't come to Arkansas is because the reputation of the program has been so bad to mediocre for over 30 years. They don't bother visiting.

But that can change with the portal if the right coach knows how to evaluate properly.

Klieman isn't leaving Kansas State for Arkansas. The time to go after him was when he was at North Dakota State back in 2017.

But no of course Arkansas had to go after Chad Morris when thousands of coaches in the United States were more qualified.

Pittman has problems with his hip. Rumors have been going around that he will retire after the season.

The decline started with Arkansas running off Ken Hatfield. He was so bad that he won an ACC title at Clemson which would be lost in mediocrity until Dabo. Then he won of all places a SWC title at Rice.

From that point on it has been negligence and walking in hell.

Back in 2015, Matt Campbell was coaching circles around fat Bert.

He would have won 10 plus games with that team.

Cignetti is 63. There is zero chance he is leaving IU for UA. Honestly not sure he leaves at all. IU is thrilled to have a winning program. Easy path and they will pay him.

You would be crazy not to go after Cignetti. Dude can coach. The other guy that someone should snap up is Klieman at kansas State. That dude can really coach. Look at the recruiting classes he gets, and then look at the results.

It's amazing.
Seconded on Klieman. Talk about doing more with less, he's just the guy to do that.

Of course many won't even give him look since he's coach of a Midwest wasteland school playing in the Big12. That's ok for the rest of us.

LSU has 3 national championships under 3 difference consecutive coaches. Can Indiana say that?

Cincy made the playoff recently too. Hang the banners.

4 paragraphs worth of nonsense later — and you still have 1 championship in the last 50 years. Cope. Call me when you have more natties than BYU in the last half century.

"No good coach is going to want to come here if we fire Bert, I mean Morris, I mean Pittman" has been a thing some of our fans have said for a while.

Arguing that the SEC is too hard isn't too different from that, and the answer is still the same.

A winner thinks he can win anywhere. He thinks he's better than the last a-hole who filled the role. The type of coach who will win at the high level is exactly the type of coach who won't be afraid of previous failures or difficulty of schedule because he knows he's a badass.

No, you should go after the Illinois coach, it's the same thing.
