- VT is currently 5-1 and is now ranked #24
- TA&M was #6 and is still one of the top teams in the nation
- LSU is #10 and will be probably be higher by the time we meet
- Ole Miss was #21
- There's a decent chance that Auburn will be ranked before we play
- whomever we play in the SEC CG will be highly ranked
And IF Alabama gets to the Natty, they'll meet the #1 or #2 team in the nation...The road is not really that easy...

It sucks too that three of those teams narrowly avoided a loss. Washington dominated Stanford offensively and defensively; Washington's kickoff return unit was the difference in the game. Ohio State struggled to beat Wisconsin and Northwestern, the only two teams on their schedule that may be legit. Clemson got some help from the officials versus North Carolina State. That 80+ yard North Carolina State touchdown run shouldn't have been called back.
