Sure it is, when you've considered every single possible scenario change within your hypothetical, which you haven't.

You haven't even taken into account the change in perception of aTm if they were to beat a cupcake rather than go toe to toe with a playoff team.

Honestly, this alone makes your stance invalid. Carry on though.

Yea, hard to make this argument without at the very least acknowledging that LSU had to play the #4 team in America in their rotating East game.

Hard to make what argument? If folks want to think that LSU would still be ranked ahead of us even if we had finished 9-3, with a head to head win over them, on the basis of their win over UGA, fine. What is undeniable is that A&M is being punished for losing to Clemson. If we're 9-3, we're (at the very least) headed for the Citrus bowl and ranked in the top 12. As it is, we ranked 22 and probably going to the Gator Bowl.

Realistically run down Aggy's ranking logically if you remove Clemson and add a cupcake. Taking in to account that up to week 13, Aggy would have 1 win over a ranked opponent and no close Clemson loss to hang their hat on.

Preseason: Unranked/25th
Week 3: 3-0 and ranked 15-18.
Week 4: 3-1 and ranked 20-23.
Week 7: 6-1 and ranked 12-15.
Week 10: 6-3 and unranked.
Week 12: 8-3 and ranked 22-25.

You're not jumping 10+ spots based on a 7 OT win over 2 loss LSU at home.

You're letting your delusion get the better of you.

If A&M doesn’t benefit from 8 blown calls against LSU they’re 7-5 this year, if we want to play hypotheticals

There would be no basis upon which to rank Kentucky ahead of A&M, and only thin basis to rank LSU ahead of A&M, if we're all 9-3. We'd have to be more or less where Kentucky and LSU are currently ranked in the polls. It's not complicated.

So you're somewhere between 10-15? This is not top 12, guaranteed, as you've claimed. You just disproved your own stance.

So what's your issue, exactly? You're ranked right where 4 loss teams are usually ranked this time of year. With a few exceptions, 4 loss teams are ranked 16+ in the polls and rarely get ranked higher.

If you had beat Clemson, you would have jumped in the polls accordingly like LSU did after beating UGA.

Love it!

Is this how they’re going to cope with Jimbo being a career 9 win head coach and basically a continuation of early era Sumlin? This is basically the Aggy yearly roller coaster in coach form

In a follow up post if A&M were the University of Texas would A&M be on the short list for a Sugar Bowl invite... just asking... not a troll...
