LSU has more SEC titles and the same amount of national titles than Alabama does during this "era". So whose fiddle is whose?

I'm confused. Why do LSU fans think Bama fans were emotionally invested at all in a game involving two teams Bama had already beaten???

When did this "era" start?

At what convenient point in time did this era begin?

Is this like one of those convenient time frames that Auburn fans like to count back to?

7yrs 4 months and 3 days?

You people are priceless.

That Alabama fan called this the golden era of LSU football with LSU being a lesser program than Alabama during that time. I didn't set the time frame. He did. And I blew up his foolishness.

And for what it's worth that means starting in about 2001.

Well, considering 21-0, I would say you are still second to Bama. LSU's last Marty was the two loss team in '07. Bama has two titles since then and is the odds on favorite to win a third. I don't see how anyone with an objective opinion wouldn't call this LSU's golden era. That said, objective opinions would also say that Bama is currently the better program - during your golden era.

Bite that hook.

Cool... so IF Alabama just happens to win the SEC and the BCSCG can we redefine the era start in 2008

Who do you think should of played vs Ohio State in that game? They all would of been 2-loss teams.

Fuk yo time frame. 22 SEC titles. Mizzou is the only SEC team that holds a winning record over Bama.

Seriously though, Bama has had an immense amount of success under Saban. It is undeniable, and you need to tip your cap to it and acknowledge it. But LSU, as a program, has shown itself to be sustainable under both Saban and Miles over a longer time frame in the modern BCS era. Saban won't be around forever and the true test of the Bama program will be its sustainability post-Saban. You'll find out it's not easy because the little man sets the bar so high.

On behalf of Bama fans, I graciously accept your congratulations and expect we will represent you well as your SEC Western Division Champions.

Thanks.

Boy, I hope we pass. Then we might be as highly regarded historically as teams like LSU and the Mississippi schools. One can only hope.
