160 posts and counting...
there's your answer.

Nope, best of luck to him..

Yeah, Lacy definitely doesnt have breakaway speed
Watching that video affirmed my belief that Ware is definitely faster than he is. I'm not saying I wouldn't want him at LSU, i'm just saying that he would be a backup here just like he is at Alabama. Similar talent at RB.

Exactly, Lacey is the obvious answer.

Willing to bet both Ware and Lacy times were hand time....
However Scout/Rivals list him at running a 4.4 in the 40.
Oh and that link that Teague posted.... those 40 times are guesses as well.... Not clocked times
Everyone agrees that the subscription sites pump up 40s like nobodies business. It's awful. They're entirely unreliable.
Example:
Eddie Lacy, 4.40
Patrick Peterson, 4.47
Julio Jones, 4.48
Mark Barron, 4.5
Trent Richardson, 4.5
That's about as herp derp as you can get. Lacy would get smoked by all of those guys.

Richardson > Ware > Lacey >= Ford
Physically Ford > Lacy by far. Hell, Ford is physically like Trent Richardson. He's definitely not in Richardson league anywhere else though.. or he'd be on the field. Maybe he runs soft.. not sure why. Maybe it's grades

I agree, but I put my rankings as where they sit today, as far as best RBs. Ware may end up better than Richardson, Lacey may end up better than Ford, etc.
But as of today a junior TR > SO Ware and Lacey and Ford have huge upside, but neither has shown it yet.
ETA: With a slight nod to Lacey over Ford just because he has had a little more PT.

Agreed. But I don't think Ware will end up better than Richardson. He may have more yards/touchdowns, etc. But stats don't really tell the story.. stats = team effort + carries

I'm sure LSU realize he is a great player, but they have some pretty good ones of their own. I don't think they care.

There just isnt any evidence to backup the assertion that Ware is better than Lacey, where at least we have some kind of argument for Lacey. Sorry, maybe next year.

Jordan Jefferson > AJ McCarron + Sims combined
Our 3rd string RB Alfred Blue >> Dee Hart too. Personally, I don't think thats the case.. but given your argument.. it must be so.
