I was wrong about Orgeron

I was so delusional even when most people in this forum kept saying 2019 was the outlier but I kept saying 2020 was the outlier. 2019 was equivalent to a lighting strike. All the stars just aligned perfectly. Hes a failure as a coach everywhere he has been and the off the field issues are an embarrassment to this state. He hires coaches without even interviewing them. He hires a convicted felon on his staff as his propaganda machine, Has pictures of him all over internet with trashy sluts and doesn't care that is gets posted. LSU settled for this guy because all the top targets turned down the job. I hope he gets axed during the season

Let the healing process begin. You've reached Step 1 in a 12-Step program.

The man just needs a little more time. And maybe some anger management classes.
Don’t give up just yet!

Yes! Give him another 5 or 6 years to get the kinks worked out!

He did good at LSU prior to 2019.
Since then it seems he lost focus. He seems to be chasing tail and acting like a 22 year old.
My guess is he really doesn’t want to do what it takes for sustained success like a Saban because it is all consuming. He won a title at his favorite school and is getting the big bucks. He will get fired this year or next and take the big buyout and his head coaching days will be over. He will take his money and go enjoy being his normal coonass self. He might take a DL coach job at a smaller school or something

As a long time Louisiana resident, I hope he goes. He is the face of Louisiana sports nationwide… he is what people everywhere think people down here are like.
In the other hand, I would like him to stay. He obviously cannot coach talent and his attitude will keep LSU from being dangerous. If a coach like Napier came in, cleaned up the culture, instilled some discipline, it would be a new ball game.
But… any student body that has a majority who thinks chanting STTDB on national TV is cool, will probably glory in a coach like 0.

I am proud of the OP for finally realizing that 2019 LSU=2010 Aubbie

You misunderstand.
Everyone cares what happens to Orgeron. Y'all want him gone, we want him to stay.
Not one single soul gives a shait that OP has suddenly had an epiphany moment.

With that buyout LSU is stuck for a while I think. Especially since the state of Louisiana is broke af.

The state wouldn't pay the buyout.

I will have to wait until somebody throws a brick at his office. When that happens then you know he is in trouble.

I understood. I was just being an arse.
I get a kick out of the "no cares about LSU" stuff. I was turning it into that.

LSU athletics is self-sufficient, turns a profit.
TV money alone is $70M.
A $21M buyout is a big hit, but the question is not can LSU afford to fire him; they can.
The question is, can they afford NOT to fire him? And I think the answer is, NO, they can not afford to keep him.
This is a clusterfrick of the worst kind. Orgeron is clearly in the "Got Paid, Don't Care" mindset. A lot of his actions... let me be careful about how this is worded: the guy has a history, some personal demons. The way he's been acting, I think those demons are back in play. Just my own outside observation and interpretation, I have zero hard evidence and don't want to start rumors. But if it were a close friend or family member, I'd think we'd be looking at an intervention here.
I might get downvoted to oblivion for that statement, but I can't be the only guy who sees this.
And you can't have that situation going on at a major program, or really any multi-million dollar business.
