Wait, Nick was trying to convince Gattis to stay with a tongue lashing? I'm pretty sure that is NOT how it works. You usually try to sweet talk or incentivize someone to stay.

Gattis salary at Alabama was 575K as a position coach.
Go Blue Jimmy offered........Gattis has agreed to a 3-year contract that will pay him a $900,000 salary, a $200,000 signing bonus and up to $400,000 in performance bonuses.
I am sure all your Loseranna State coaches would decline 600K plus to stick with your program. Right?

I have absolutely no animus towards Saban. He brought LSU back to prominence. He did a great deal for my Tigers. He left to scratch his itch to coach in the NFL. Bama was extremely fortunate that Rich Rod reneged and Ms Terri convinced Bama to pursue Nick.
That said, Saban has always been an a-hole. When he was at LSU, it was ok because he was our a-hole. Without him Bama would still be sucking arse.
Unfortunately for the Pigs, you have never come close achieving any of the glory you experienced in the SWC. Sadly you never will.

Has anyone in the history of the world ever been yelled at for 20 minutes? Think about how long that is to tell at someone.
I’m not even sure that slave merchants and owners yelled at their slaves rowing boats coming to America for 20 mins straight and they had no where to go.
In short, calling bullshite or exaggerated story from Gattis.

I’m 46 years old and I personally don’t have memories of a better time in the swc than we had in those last years of Petrino which was in the sec. You should remember those years as well as they were your last years of semi (being generous) dominance before Bama took over.
And I usually think anyone a total fool who uses the word ‘never’ in regards to a sports program and you are no exception.

Mich's was $105 mil.
Maryland also has a new coach that isn't a big name while Mich has Harbaugh (whose name is bigger than his record).
Safe to assume the big school offered more.
