Why would anybody be a Georgia fan?
Tech is a much better academic school
Has a much more recent national championship in football
Has a much better basketball program
If Georgia does have more fan support, it is largely because the redneck masses in the state that never attended either school are more drawn to UGA despite Tech actually being superior in most categories

Georgia runs the state.
Tech runs The Varsity.
It's harder to get accepted into UGA than Tech (only the engineers are knocking on the doors on North Ave... much more demand and much broader academic success at UGA).
Much better campus and student life at UGA.
Much more influential alumni at UGA (if you are going to work in the SE, you make better connections on campus in Athens).
Tech has a great engineering program. Let's see if UGA can make up some ground now that we have our own program.

My post was strictly about Julio in 2010, even though throughout both players careers, nobody on earth would say Adams>Julio. Even if statistics favored Adams, there's a reason Julio was drafted where he was and is playing at the level he is now and that Adams is bagging groceries at the local Auburn Winn-Dixie. Guarantee you that defensive coordinators were way more concerned about stopping Julio than they were Adams. Hell the big debate back when Julio was in college was whether he was better than AJ Green or not. Never mind the fact that Adams played in a more HUNH offense and Julio suffered injuries throughout his career from '09-'10.
So what I got from this is that Julio grossly underperformed in college and him being an injury prone liability is something that has been an issue with him for many years now. Congrats

This thread was fun, good work everyone.
Except for Peter Buck, you've got a long way to go kid.

Dismukes was an over rated, racist piece of shite.

He would have been a perfect fit at Alabama.

Auburn was his favorite school for a reason.

Surely not, I have learned in this thread that you only choose Auburn if you can't into the dual Harvard's of the South UGA or Alabama.

You fricktards at like he won the starting job or something!! He only played because the STARTER is on IR right now.
He really wasn't all that good either. He was getting shoved into Brady's lap all night. What saved his arse is that the Steelers left someone wide open almost every play in that game. Brady finished with 80% completion percentage.
Too bad he can't come back and help you guys lose one your not supposed to.

Well it is common knowledge that Auburn is a backup school for kids from Georgia that couldn't get into UGA.

Then you were not paying attention...either you are a contrarian or the spawn of a contrarian...OR you couldn't get into UGA. No one claimed UGA was on par with Harvard... it may seem that far out of reach for your garden variety Auburn person, but that is neither here nor there...

Jesus Christ this place is terrible. I suppose I don't understand the urge to "troll", especially as an adult.

Me either. I had hoped that the start to football season might've made some people grow-up a little, but I guess that didn't happen.

I didn't realize success in the NFL determined the value of somebody as college player. I guess you learn something new every day.

Well I can't speak for everybody, but as I pointed out earlier in this same thread, Reese was an undrafted FA doesn't really qualify as a bust in the NFL. There's certainly no comparison between an undrafted FA center and a 1st round pick at RB.

That's only brought up when people act like bama is the only place players can go to get developed for the NFL.

Stfu and take your medicine for Reese being a total prick and bust in the NFL
hahaha it's like a parade of morons in here
It is literally like every auburn fan on this site believe they are mental giants and everyone else is in the words of their greatest poster "retarded". I realize Reese wasn't a high round pick. He has and will never parlay his college success into big NFL money. At least Trent got paid.

Maybe. But we usually manage to beat Auburn.
