You're bitching and arguing about this, and can't answer a simple question?

It's the Grantland Rice Trophy (FWAA).

Umm..

1. I'm watching the Cotton Bowl.

2. That wasn't directed towards me.

Yes, ..... The FWAA

Football Writers Association of America is as legit as the AP.

He played on the 1934 team that won the '35 Rose Bowl. He was the head coach for the '61,'64,'65,'73,'78, and '79 national title teams.

Even the dude that cooked up the myth isn't serious. Delusional fricks.
This much is certain: The 1982 media guide, the last for Bryant, lists 1934 as the only pre-Bryant national championship, adding it in a footnote of Alabama's SEC history. In the year-by-year results in the '82 media guide, only Bryant's six national titles were listed.

Take it up with the NCAA, if you don't want us claiming titles that pre-date the poll era. Or maybe Michigan and Notre Dame. No one gives them shite for pre-1936 titles.

If you think Arkansas deserves the '64 title, you better be willing to give Alabama 1966. Considering this is argument about the role of bowl games during that era. Notre Dame didn't play in a bowl game in 1966.

NCAA and SEC recognize 8 National Championships for Bama. So why are you delusional fricks talking about 13, 14 or 25?

I'm talking about Alabama's 8 poll titles and putting Alabama's Rose Bowl teams of the 20s and 30s in the proper context of the pre-poll era. The NCAA, College Football Data Warehouse, and others recognize various other titles along with Alabama's poll titles.

Kind of like if the AP awards LSU the trophy this year if Bama wins?

How does one alter poll titles that are awarded, or not awarded? No in-between.

I've looked at the history. I count either 8 or 6 for yall. Polls are not all polls if you knownwhat i mean. Try to look at it objectively. N

I interrupt this thread to point out that Auburn has 12 undefeated seasons that are not subject to opinion. Most in the SEC. Carry on

It`s frickin hilarious to me that it`s getting to the point on this board that some are actually resulting to questioning AP national titles. That`s like college football going to a playoff system next year and 30 years from now everyone questioning the validity of a BCS national championship claim from between 1998 and 2011. We`ve truly entered bizarro world when an AP title is no longer considered a legitimate claim. It`s funny that all this questioning of the validity of an AP national title isn`t done when looking at the 1966 and the 1977 AP champion. How frickin convenient.

Auburn can "rightfully" claim 20 national championships based on these numbers, coupled with the fact that you are located within the State of Alabama.

I've always thought Auburn should claim the national championship awarded by Billingsley. The team was 8-0 and outscored opponents 224-13.

This is why you are a delusional frick to the entire rest of the country. I mean when your fan base's claims over titles are legitimately compared to N. Korea glorious leaders claims of 11 holes in one in a single golf round, that has to give a rational person pause. Add to that, Tidefans will not allow any fans that aren't bama fans to even sign up for their message board, and it starts to get weird and creepy. Like this:
