It's not. And 21-17 at the half isn't "kicking Arkansas in the throat". It's simply having a lead at the half.

I will say this... Merlin's team rarely gets blown out, especially at home. He does a good job slowing the game down against superior opponents. Anyone saying LSU wins by more than 17 is crazy. They'll win, but it won't be a blowout

29-7 last year, was Merlins not coaching for that game?

I get that but the previous poster just said that Merlins doesn't get blown out. LSU this year greater than LSU last year. I see it being close and 2nd or 3rd quarter defense gets used to what Relf and company have to offer and sit on their throat and squeeze the life out. Just my opinion but I don't see it being that close in the end. My main thing is the game last week didn't go at all like MSU needed it to go to have a good game 5 days later. Didn't two tackles get hurt and the center? If ya'll would have cruised I would think differently.

NO, just one tackle and the center will play.

And State isn't playing in Tiger Stadium for Relf's 1st road start so I don't see how that applies to Thursday.

What makes the Oregon victory by LSU so interesting is that Oregon scored 69 on Nevada this past weekend. 69.

I see the Vegas spread is 3.5+ MSU. And it opened at 4.

And MSU stayed in the AP top 25.

Hmmm. Maybe MSU will make it a game. Apparently the MSU fans were willing to bet on MSU given 4 points.
I guess the damn cowbells are worth something besides a headache.

It was only regarding whoever said Merlins doesn't get blown out. Everyone gets blown out eventually.

The rest of my post had to do with this week. Tired team vs rested team, if MSU makes a mistake early or gets behind earlier and they are tired it could get out of hand. Though like I said I think MSU hangs till middle of the 2nd or the beginning of the 3rd.

You never know with the SEC though. Just when you think a team is owning they run into a tougher game than you would think. Hell I thought last week MSU was going to run up and down the field on Auburn and shut down the Auburn offense.
Who knows.

You think Ms. State will catch LSU looking ahead to West Virginia creating the perfect "trap game" while Ms. State still loses?

Me too.

Yes, Miss State loses.

But anyone who thinks this team is looking anywhere past Starkville is kidding themselves.

I'm looking forward to a great game Thursday night in Starkville. It should be a fun atmosphere being the first home game of the season. There is no way in hell LSU is overlooking STATE. I hate when people say that, why cant you just say you got beat? You may over look someone but when they run down the field and score your arse should be ready.

Every school should hold down their own stadium. If they happen to lose it better be a damn dog fight.
