LSU is clearly the second best team in the West at this point. They get Bama at home and have a defense that is usually very strong against the type of offense Bama runs. I don't see why anyone would think they can't compete in the west.
we play Alabama in Tuscaloosa this year

But I actually think we'll improve over the next couple of weeks.
Honestly, other than a gut feeling, what do you base this on? This season looks exactly like last season to me. We knew we had problems before UF...those problems were exposed playing UF. Let the tailspin ensue. Miles is not capable of mid-season change IMO. He just can't get it done.

Based on how we played against Georgia. Not every front 7 we play will be as good as Florida's. Certainly not Arkansas and Auburn's. Plus, we have seniors at key positions.

On offense, I agree. On defense, I thought we'd give up 40 or more. We played good D, much better than I thought. D line could be better.

People said this in 2006 after we lost to AU and FL. Miles got it together on the road at TN. That team is still considered one of the best LSU ever fielded. Have some faith my friend.

I agree, I wouldn't be surprised if Auburn is the betting favorite next game.

Um, no

Why, no. I don't see a craziness. Just a homer.

Yep, you noticed, eh?
As someone else once wrote long ago regarding SEC football and the passion of its fans: It's not life or death ... it's much more serious than that!
If Jim T had lost those last two NCGs from the SEC a cadre of rabid fans would've been calling for his scalp after both games. It's SEC football, sanity post-game is no where to be found, say no more.

Of course LSU will still compete in the West. If you can beat us, you're Golden.

I would ... especially after watching them get azz-whacked by a mediocre Arky defense.

GOBAMA is a flamer. I've yet to see one substantive post from him.

But of course, don'tcha know! It's the way it goes ... it's still why they play the games, eh?

What are you talking about? I'm just stating an opinion based on what I'm seeing on the field.
Why do I have to have the same opinion as you?

I think we lost to Arkansas and Bama. Possibly Auburn as well.

Back from the future? Or just channeling Nostradomus?

Seriously, I'm painfully aware something needs to be done to get some offensive flow and consistency or bad things are probably gonna happen on that side of the ball ... but, even so, it's still why they all show up to play the games. We'll see. (I just hope after it's over we all aren't left wishing we hadn't seen!

The first part of this is correct, the second is

Ya think? You guys just shredded that juggernaut Arkansas defense didn't you!

I can't see it, if our coaches have no confidence in JJ then i guess he'll eventually be benched and we'll be prepping for next season with Shepard.

Hope they improve to do so
