An SEC ranter thinking that things will always be as they have been in the past? Shocking.
I always thought it was funny how many people here picked the conference standings in the preseason to finish the exact same as it did in the prior year (with Mizzou and A&M added towards the bottom of course). Things change.

Agree with my fellow Ags....let's take the opinion of posters who said our offense would never work and Johnny would get hurt running in the SEC...all they have proven is that they are clueless when it comes to A&M football.

you shouldn't think so much . . . you don't wear it well

Manziel played one of his worst games against LSU - he was missing passes that he normally would make. If the kicker could kick easy field goals, the outcome could have been different.
Y'all go ahead and think you have it figured out next year - that's fine.
Manziel 2.0 combined with a potent rushing attack will be pretty much unstoppable. The Ags' defense has some question marks, but I think they will be OK.

No, they didn't. Your post is revisionist history of the worst kind. Pretty much everyone had us pegged at 6-6, or worse.

I smell fear in this thread.

Drew Brees doesn't typically turn the ball over either... but look what happened when the 49ers came to town and chased him around all game.
LSU is losing a lot on its D-line, so I'm not sure if the Tigers will be as successful in chasing him around and containing him as they were this season.

I'll give it to LSU, y'all have the best DEs around. Alabama couldn't do what they did. Respect.
That said, Johnny's passing game has evolved considerably since the LSU game. He's now attempting, and making, downfield strikes he wasn't considering during the LSU game. It strecthes the field and changes the way the defense has to play him.
The Johnny you play next year won't be the guy who played you this year - because he isn't that guy anymore NOW - he's better.

Joekel has a younger brother on the squad as well,
so was Luke the first one out of the womb? I hadn't heard definitively...

No, yours is that "disrespected Aggie" hyperbole of the worst kind.
Preseason, there were guaranteed losses to LSU and Bama. You have to remember, Florida was a 6 win team last year. Nobody really thought they could go to A&M and pull out a win on the road in A&M's SEC debut game.
Most thought they would split or lose both to Arkansas and Auburn, who turned out to suck badly.
Mississippi State was the toss up game.
Realistically, people thought they could win 7 to 8 games, with the MSU game being the variable. And nobody knew how long it would take for a new offense and a new qb to come together. Not even A&M fans were sure what it would look like.
6-6 or worse would have had to have been an absolute disaster of a season to pull off. No way all of those toss up games were going to be losses.

He could struggle but then again, he could do the same damn thing. Time will tell.

Most media types had A&M/Mizzou as the game where A&M could possibly become bowl eligible. They expected Mizzou to have 7-8 wins.

Another thread about how Ags and JFF will fail. How many of these have been posted since the SEC move was announced?
It's just more motivation. Please keep it up. This shite gets back to Sumlin, et al. Just like the patronizing BS at SEC media days.

Might as well re-quote from other rant posts about JFF.
- He will never make it through a full season in the SEC.
- Defensive coordinators will shut him down after they see him play a few games.
- After Florida game.... The second half of the game will be the blueprint for all SEC defenses to shut him down.
- That shite don't work in the SEC
Seriously... I did take a look at the link. Also found him on You Tube. Guy can throw. He looks taller in the videos... built like Vince Young.
Don't possibly see how a guy like that can do well in the SEC.

Looks like a player and a playmaker. Lethal combination potential. Impressive.

You are 100% accurate. Many thought A&M would probably need to beat Mizzo to be bowl eligible.
Also, most people on the rant thought that if A&M made a bowl game this year, it would be a success.

You A&M fans act like you knew you would be this good.

I think the biggest thing is that some of you guys are assuming that our offense and Manziel wont change/adapt.
He's a freshmen and got better with every game. He had a new HC and New offensive scheme.
This coaching staff didnt recruit a single one of these players for their system so the staff was also learning how to utilize the personnel accordingly in year one.
In year two of Sumlin and Kingsbury's offense, the coaches will have a better understanding of the personel strengths and the players, from the oline to the RB's to the WR's and QB will all understand their assignments, techniques and adjustments that much more.
We're doing this with top 25-35 ranked recruiting classes built for different offensive and defensive schemes- what do you think we can do with the top 5-10 ranked classes we're putting together this year and next???
