re: A&M run defense
Posted by 03ki11er on 9/12/13 at 1:26 pm
If Bammer wants to play a run the ball and control the clock game then let them do it. It's a great plan if you score touchdowns, but what happens when you have a penalty that forces you to kick a field goal or you turn the ball over? 2 touchdown differential is nothing to A&M's offense. All it takes is a couple of mistakes and A&M will capitalize on a grind it out method. That said, Saban is smarter than that...he'll have a very balanced attack and all i'm hoping for is a perfect game with a couple of turnovers.

Former A&M women's basketball player D'nika Lea Romero....Although she may be doing well for herself.

So far I'm seeing the the same phrases being thrown around but nobody has shown that the SEC is currently making more money. I think CBS has not upped the contract, and I don't know about ESPN.
As of now, no, the SEC is not making more money, but if you're not smart enough to understand why the SEC is due to make substantially more in future returns then no amount of explaining will help. We're not talking 25 million a year anymore, we're talking about 50 million. Just calm down, there are a lot of people that are more intelligent working on this.

Both Miles and Saban had LSU and the entire state of Louisiana/East Texas to recruit and win. Saban now has Alabama who can pretty much recruit where they want. Arkansas doesn't have that. He'll need to stoop into Texas, Louisiana etc. pretty heavily to get the bodies he needs to play smash mouth. That said, I think it's a pretty good hire for what was out there. He's better than Gundy, Briles and Gruden in my opinion.

He could struggle but then again, he could do the same damn thing. Time will tell.

My parents were pretty high class and I still ended up in a lot of situations that JFF did. Both of my parents were college grads with great jobs but that didn't stop me from landing in jail once and being cuffed several other times. It took the Marine Corps and a few DI's to get my act together. Very glad I did and hopefully A&M and football will get his act together. Looks like it's already happening.

If you have to lobby to keep a rivalry game then you've already lost. Nice crowd today, feel bad for the seniors who gave y'all several good seasons. Passionate fans my arse. :snoozer:

Other than being in the top 4, rankings have no bearing on BCS selections. Bowl committees pick based on $$. Tickets sales, which fan base travels, who will fill hotels...that's it. So hype is everything. Being a spot or two above a school means jack shite
This! I'm not saying the Sugar Bowl would pick A&M over LSU, nor am I saying A&M deserves to go, but the Sugar Bowl will make their decision on how many people will fill the stands, fill the hotels and fill the television sets. I think if JFF wins the Heisman and LSU is not in the top for we go. If he doesn't then LSU goes regardless.
Mizzou Fans...Is James Franklin out this week?

Any news? Trying to lay some money here.
re: A year of film on A&M/JFF
Posted by 03ki11er on 11/17/12 at 10:11 am
What good will an entire year of film do for a defensive coordinator when he'll only have one week to prepare? That's the biggest problem for SEC coaches when preparing for A&M. They match up against down hill running teams every week and have to adjust completely for A&M. The bottom line is it doesn't matter what you prepare for if you cannot stop it in the first place.
Florida was able to stop JFF because it was his first game ever and JFF had not yet learned to adjust himself. LSU got out by the skin of their teeth thanks completely to A&M. If that game is played today A&M wins 7 out of 10 times.

re: Aggies thoughts on Alabama

I-10 through Beaumont looks like Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. It really doesn't look all that different until you head north or go West of Houston.

I'd have to disagree with this. He's very shifty.

That Bama line will move to sub 14 by the end of the week. I think the MGM and WYNN will open it around 12 or 13
re: Texas A&M fans...your thoughts for next week in BDS...
Posted by 03ki11er on 11/4/12 at 10:30 am
I was surprised to see LSU pass so well on Alabama so i'm thinking we have a punchers chance in this thing. We'll need to win the turnover battle and make all of our field goals. I think A&M has a shot to win a close one or keep it within 10 points.
re: How do you explain Florida being undefeated?
Posted by 03ki11er on 10/25/12 at 4:43 pm
They held A&M to zero points in the second half thus keeping their undefeated record intact. Pretty simple actually.

We had an entire group of LSU fans tailgating next to us throughout the day and they were great. We did have one of them who was blasted by 12:30 stumble into our tailgate for a little while. Thankfully he was a happy drunk that was showing naked pictures of his girlfriend to all of us and then he passed out in one of our chairs. One of the weirdest yet pleasing drunks i've ever met.

re: Ditch the damn wildcat!
Posted by 03ki11er on 10/8/12 at 5:02 pm
Exactly. It's counter productive to run the wildcat when we have a qb that can tuck and run it every time. The whole point of the wildcat is to have a run play where the defense has to protect the pass. hello! That's every play for us.
re: Coaches running up score/leaving Heisman player in to pad stats
Posted by 03ki11er on 10/3/12 at 12:17 pm
I don't mind running up the score until we have a playoff system. Granted the computers don't take scoring margin into affect, but coaches and writers do. It looks a lot better if you beat a scrub team 35-17 rather than 28-17.
