Peyton went against his own family to dip on Ole Miss and play for UT. Don't think people would be all that surprised.

Two thoughts on this.
1. Clearly it's time to fire Scott Stricklin and Dan Mullen. Emmitt does not approve.
2. His wife is 47? Jesus. I know some 30 year old girls that could use what she's drinking.

I hope Cade mays will get to block for this kid.

Putting on UGA stuff should be a no-no for Smith. Support his kid making his own choices - fine, but he needs to show a bit more loyalty than that.

This hurt my feelings.

The Mannings hate LSU way more than Alabama. Starts with that hick daddy of the clan.

The replies are astounding. I mean, who knew there were that many Florida fans? Had be at least enough of them to fill a moderately-sized school bus.

Not a big deal, probably just didn't want to disrespect coach Smart so put it on, Emmitt is that kind of guy. More importantly, his son won't be a leg humper so it doesn't matter in the end.

I remember when Peyton decided to go to Tennessee instead of Ole Miss. I was in school at the time and I have to say it was one of the biggest melts in the history of Ole Miss. The Ole Miss faithful were wanting to tar and feather Archie at the time. Fortunately for Archie, Eli wasn't good enough to go anywhere else so he had to settle at Ole Miss and Archie was able to rebuild his relationship in Oxford.

I won’t be shocked if Peyton’s kids go to Ole Miss

I wouldn't be so sure. Evidently Archie and Peyton think pretty highly of Shea Patterson and the rumor is neither are very happy about how Ole Miss has treated this poor kid. You have to remember Ole Miss was about to go on probation when Peyton made the decision to go to UT. I imagine he has alot of sympathy for the kid.

Eli was the La.PotY.
He was ranked behind Chris Simms, CJ Leak, Rex Grossman and Jared Lorenzen though, among others

Yeah, but that was because a lot of people thought Eli was mentally challenged, not because he wasn't good enough at QB. The oversized tongue and Moe haircut made him seem like a paste eater

So you're saying he would fit in better at Ole Miss?
