Bama will match whatever Tejas offers, and Texas won't give him full control like at Bama.

That is the rational perspective. Thats what a normal, thinking person believes. This board is mostly consumed with trolling and fantasy.

I was convinced he wasn't going to take the job, but the smoke is boiling now and I don't see any fire trucks putting out the fires.

I think he goes.

Lots and lots of trolling. I got burnt out somewhere around 3pm today. I want it all to just be over.

How deep does the Alabama coffers go?

Could they match Texas?

Not possible. One thing that Texas has more of than any other school is money. If it comes down to just dollars and cents, there is no way that Bama can compete.

His own schedule. There's a lot of bullshite that comes with being the coach at Texas. You're more like a mascot or a CEO. Lots and lots of politics in the Capital

I think the only school in the SEC that could possibly compete with Texas money is Florida. That said, I'm sure plenty of Gumps would mortgage their trailers and sell a kidney to keep Saban in Tuscaloserville. If his only motivation is money, I can't see him staying at Bama when Texas/Austin has so much more to offer than Gumpville USA.
