Analytics is the dumbest shite. It pains me watching people take general stats without any real context and then apply them blindly.

What the frick do you even need a HC for at that point?

I don't even know what this particular play was, I'll need to watch a condensed version later.

I'm a stats guy and I fricking hate analytics.

Didn’t have an issue with it. Kentucky had no timeouts, their kicker just missed two fgs back to back. You know they passing every down. A good punt shoujd hsve put them inside the ten.

DC just rushed 4 every down and played prevent defense. He played the percentages correctly just came up short.

Everyone would be talking shite like crazy if he goes for it and doesn’t make. You basically have them in fg range already.

His reasoning was sound. Our kicker was psyched out. We had to drive the field against one of the best defenses in the country and had no time outs. Kentucky never does that.

Until last night.

Stoops wasn't able to do that. Stien is a much better of a HC than Stoops.

Punting was the right call in that situation. I'm not saying that because I'm a UK fan and the game worked out in our favor.

Punt them deep and rely on your D

I can understand this BUT:

1 - Punting wasn’t good in this game and they gave up a TD on a punt return.

2 - There was more than one play that could get 1 yard

3 - Whether Ky got the ball on the 1 yard line, if the punt was perfect, or they didn’t get the 1st down at the 40, there was still about a minute and 30 or so seconds left. Plenty of time.

4 - There was no way that they would be lucky enough to get a miracle missed field goal on the road for a third time.

LSU had everything they needed and just shot themselves in the foot over and over. It didn’t come down to just one thing or one play. This was a coaching, offensive and defensive loss
