Neither can I. I was there that night and it was clear that Alabama was the better team. Yeah, LSU played much better in the second half and limited our opportunities, but we should have put the game away in the first half. Instead we chose to get cute inside the 30-yard line and it cost us with penalties and tackles for loss. We probably should have won the game by the score of 18-6.

2011, LSU had a great team without a QB. Plus Les was stubborn. Bama and LSU were clearly the two best teams and split the series. Les did not know how to recruit QB his entire tenure or he would have had at least one more national championship

Mettenberger was probably good enough to win a title with OBJ and Landry out there.

18 National Championships and 30 SEC titles. That's a lot of reminiscing.

LSU won the conference, had more wins, had more top 25 wins, beat the pac-12 and Big East champs, more top 25 wins and head to head was 1-1 against Bama with both games away from Tiger Stadium.

I can-

They missed 4, none were chip shots. From what I recall all attempts were from 40 to 50+ yards and one was blocked.

Saban should have played for field position, kicking field goals wasn’t a Bama strength.

So Alabama should claim the 2021 national title because they beat UGA in the SEC title game?

Ncaa.com, which is an unbiased source, counts 16 for Alabama. I’ll go with that source for every team. Makes it very simple

That defense was dealing with Les Miles, and the most predictable offense probably in the history of football. Looking back, Bama had guys with equal talent, and a month to prepare, so it was inevitable.

1925-26, 1930, 1941, 1973 are straight up falsely claimed. That's just off the top of my head.

1964 is a similar scenario as 2011. And why LSU fans will have no problem claiming 2011 now and in the future.

Saban has aged a shite tonne in his time at Alabama. He looked like he's only in his early 40s or something in this picture.
