I get that but it was still a mediocre unit statistically. I'm not hating, those are just the numbers.

Yeah it was supposed to be a rebuilding year, it’s a young defense and as of now I think 8/11 starters are returning

I still can’t believe that Pete outcoached Kirby the way he did.

I think head coaches “outcoaching” each other in games is generally overrated. Most head coaches don’t call either side of the ball.

Nick Saban is 1,000 times the coach I am in every area, but if I had elite coordinators (and he didn’t) to do the real coaching while I just stayed the frick out of their way, I could be competitive with him with equal rosters.

The real value of a head coach in college ball is the ability to bring in great players and assistants to win consistently for the long haul. It has little to do with actual coaching.

Pete deserves a lot of credit for holding it down and dealing with Lane’s departure, but the jury is out on him and I still think Ole Miss goes 6-6 or worse next year.

We have enough common sense that LSU coaches are a big part of their success, which is why they gladly welcomed CWJ back with open arms. Pete was a baller in high school and a solid coach his career but LSU could have totally tried to destroy Ole Miss and yet yalls AD tried to do it himself even while LSU was saying that all of the coaches could stay including Lane till end of season to not mess with their chances. Now he already sending coaches back to LSU and accusing people of tampering. I hope that whiny bitch cost y’all the only title y'all will ever have a chance at.

They’re so beyond broken.

Saban cast them down to the sodomites. There is no hope for them.

My favorite thing is the comment they take about Saban regretting leaving LSU completely out of context into a narrative that LSU has always been and is his true love.

We’ll see how he does when Trinidad Chambless is gone, Charlie Weiss is gone, the Ole Miss defense isn’t motivated by bitterness, and he doesn’t get behind the wheel while above the legal level.

The cope is strong with this one.

Chambliss just played out of his mind and Stockton is fairly limited.

23 year old 4th year player vs 1st year starter.

Adapt or die.

Look at who Cignetti is signing in the portal. 4 and 5 year guys.

He is revolutionizing the sport like the HUNH did. While everybody chases Elite 11 winners, he gets a 6'5 Ivy League smart QB from Cal and he wins the Heisman by merely taking what defenses give him.

BAMA is going to have another 1st year starter at QB next year and Cignetti won't.

And the majority of the fans will blame Deboer for doing what they want him to do.

Ask yourself this:

Why does BAMA need an Elite 11 winner to be their qb and Cignetti not? Because he's better at Xs and Os. He runs a simple offense. Nothing exotic. No fricking flea flickers that's for damn sure.

Case and point.

Baltimore's right tackle got hurt and came out of the game.

He was replaced by a 21 year old LSU player drafted in 2025 who should be blocking for Nuss.
