If you are sensing a healthy respect you should be here in Omaha. I don’t sense any respect here.

Gotta respect the hogs and DVH. If they do beat LSU I will be pulling for them in the championship. I do think we take care of business tonight though.

I fully expect hogs to lose tonight. LSU is just playing dominant baseball at the right time. Put us in a bind losing the first game in Omaha. It hurts because I wanted Dvh to get one and get the monkey off his back, but if we lose tonight or tomorrow, I’ll be cheering for tigers chasing 8.
We have a pretty significant drop off in talent and consistency when Anderson and Eyanson are not on the mound. Eyanson also has early struggles at times and Anderson is susceptible to giving up HRs. Our hitting has been very sporadic as well so I don't take anything for granted.

I have so much respect I hope each corndogs time in purgatory requires them to eat the asses of both sisters on my 600lb life.

LSU can pull a Bon Scott with some jizz as far as their football team/fandom goes. But baseball is a bit more gentlemanly by nature, and I hold their baseball program's history and accomplishments in very high regard.
Baseball as you said is a bit more gentlemanly and LSU is the standard for baseball in the SEC and one of a very small number of elite baseball programs all time...much like Alabama in football and Kentucky in basketball.
LSU fans act accordingly when it comes to baseball which is to say just like Alabama football and Kentucky basketball fans. Their confidence or at times overconfidence is a natural by product of their team's ability to back it up the vast majority of the time.
As an Alabama fan I've never had an issue with LSU fans other than the fact that many seem to have a bug up their arse about Alabama football and Alabama fans but then again I also give them a pass because it would suck to have a legendary coach initially break out on the scene at my school only to leave for the NFL and then quickly get back into college coaching and have a legendary career at a rival school in the same conference.
Ironically, a similar situation to Saban's could have unfolded in the 60s when the Miami Dolphins were pushing hard to hire Bear Bryant away from Alabama. The only difference between him and Alabama and Saban and LSU was that Bryant (unlike Saban) ultimately declined the Dolphins offer and stayed at Alabama and went on to further cement his status as one of...if not THE greatest college football coach of the 20th century whereas Saban left LSU to take the Dolphins offer, was mediocre at best, and then left to take the Alabama job and finish what he started at LSU...which was becoming the greatest college football coach of the 21st century at a different school.
If I'm being honest I'd be pissed at LSU if Bear Bryant had done the same thing in leaving Alabama for the Dolphins and then returned to finish his college coaching career winning multiple national championships at LSU instead of Alabama in the process.

I thought it was a very calculated move. Mac, in his 17th year at Arkansas can now tell his children and grand children that he pitched in the CWS. At the same time, the 3 runs didn't hurt us and we didn't have to use a real pitcher to get the last 3 outs. Win/win, lol

I don't necessarily want to playing them this many times, but Arkansas is an amazing program and they have the best fanbase in here for baseball outside of LSU. They're attendance numbers are always high. I have a ton of respect for Arkansas baseball.

While you are an alabama fan, and by default I hate your guts, this might be the best synopsis I have seen and explains it all so very well. I am bookmarking this, and expect to see it at some point later.
