True. LSU over the last decade has been closer to a natty, but Florida has played for the SEC championship twice since LSU has. A lot of that has to do with Bama and the weakness of the east, but Florida hasn't just fallen off the map in terms of relevance even in the 2010s.

I mean, your last SECCG appearance was in 2011...Auburn has been there twice since then.

Everyone is different. I care about everything from when I started watching CFB to present.

2010s is probably UF worst decade in generations if not ever.

And yet LSU has a more recent conference title, and more wins since then.

Weird.

He mad.

But since you are an idiot, maybe you need to be reminded that the 90s fall within the "1950-present" range.

Same with 1980-present range.

Why you want me to omit the 90s from the above time frames.
Should I omit the 2010s also?!? WTF

Excellent rebuttal

I could just as easily blame Joe Dean for hiring Arnsbarger and Hallman. And not hiring Spurrier

Wait, do those not count? Good to know. I guess we can remove the 90s for LSU.

I mean there's nothing "weird" about that. It's a good point and something to measure in this debate. It's fricking really close between these two teams, both of which are great southern programs.

From an outsider I can say that Florida's name still carries more weight. Again, that's my perspective as a fan since the 90s.

That’s perfectly fine from just a perspective standpoint. It’s ok to be biased even though it’s not backed up by actual statistics.

I never omitted those years nor the probation years.

Ok that is your personal experience, so no one is going to argue with you.

But here is the thing skippy, at least we have had good enough players to come out of LSU that you do recognize us!

Where as with Duke, half the college football fans people in this country don’t even know that Duke fields a football team! Ha

Look, wins and losses aren't the end all be all. Look at the patriots giants super bowl. The pats were undefeated but lost the big game, and the giants won the championship. Obviously, the patriots have redeemed themselves and are a team of legend and lore since even that game. Look at Bama LSU rematch. We lost the first round, but when it counted we won the championship game. And I think people forget how good that LSU team was because of it.

What I'm saying is that the statistics don't necessarily correlate perfectly with how we perceive greatness and prominence.

You’re the one that wanted to omit the time before 1950. Those matter just the same as the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80, and 90s. None of those matter

Yeah we’ve gone through this. LSU has more wins, higher winning %, more bowl wins, more AA’s, more conference titles and the same number of national titles.

So, like he said, you can have your opinion. It’s just not backed by any factual data. Not until you start applying arbitrary time frames to it.

You seem pretty reasonable at times, but there’s something inside you that just compels you to troll our fan base and only our fan base. Trolling is such a disappointing use of one’s time, not sure what the allure is. Maybe one of our trolls just got to you.

We agree on this, for sure. But let me ask you this, do you consider Yale the greatest football program of all time?

Then what does? Is it championships? Because once again we have the same number of those as well. It sounds like the way you perceive greatness may not he the same as how others perceive greatness.

You lead the series by 4 games, while LSU has 72 more total wins.

Well they started playing about 15 years before UF.

Then how was UF 5-4-1 vs LSU in the 80's? The 10 years leading up to Spurrier's arrival.

And that was with a probation that included no TV and loss of 30 scholarships.
A rent a win though.

It was the Saban effigies. In all seriousness, you pegged me pretty well in that post. Y'all love your football as much as we do, and that's pretty rare. But, without a doubt, your melts are superior.

Well sure, because since divisional play UF has won the SEC more than any team except Alabama, and has beaten LSU something 17 of the 27 games they played.
