All jokes aside, I think he’s a really good coach, and he is the best Aggie coach for the A&M culture in my lifetime. Everybody is quick to pull the trigger on coaches, but I think Elko will figure out how to make Aggie football competitive in the long run, and he should get a long leash. In this era of college football, teams can rebound quickly from year to year, and he’s got a very strong recruiting class established. This year is going to be bad, but they need to keep him around. And if I’m wrong, I’m cool with that too. I don’t hate seeing them lose.

dude needs to lose some weight. I dont know how lard-arse coached get their guys to buy in. Like you lose credibility as a leader when you cant lay off the junk food , dear God man, its not that hard, you have access to top notch weightroom facilities and a nutritionist LOL

There is really no difference in Elko and the next blockbuster coach they hire.
Zero sec championships.
Save the buyout money;
re-sign him at half the cost;
brag about that 10 win season every 4 years;
profit.
Why buy the guy out? It’s a dumb business strategy for a program that cannot do anything meaningful. Just save that 50+million and put it in a 5 year CD.
It’s what Duke did with Cut.
Aggie claims to be a rich academic institution. Might as well suck at football like an Ivy League school and keep the money.
