"Heard from a sideline guy that the grass was a little higher than what it should have been, suggesting they left it longer to slow us down."

This is in response to a Vol saying UGA can't hang with them for 60 on artificial turf.

This is why we need to stop spitting on Auburn and start spitting on Tennessee.

Auburn just hasn't done anything to deserve it lately.

Why would this only affect Tenn? Would this not slow down both teams equally? I have never understood this logic. So slow people are the same speed but fast people are slower on the same length grass?

TN fans have made more excuses. Don't you know that the rain, grass, the windspeed from an ant's fart affects ONLY TN players?

I think the argument is that it affects a team that relies on speed more so than one who doesn't. People used to bitch about Notre Dame's noticeably longer turf all the time.

However, Sanford's turf is basically perfect, but I'm sure it played slower in the second half. Rain tends to do that to a football field. But Tennessee was getting run out of the stadium in the second quarter before the rain came so whatever argument some random Vol poster was making is stupid.

If anything, it raining kept the score looking more respectable than the game actually was

I am not sure physics would agree with this assessment, but I see your point.

Tennessee fans are stupid. Shocking. Turf helps the faster team. That isn't Tennessee.

Rece Davis: "And there was no doubt that while Tennessee is coming, and Tennessee is good, and Tennessee might well be a playoff team by the end of this crazy football season, there is one thing that is beyond dispute: Tennessee ain't Georgia and they're not even close."

Georgia fans have been claiming for decades that "kneeland" groundscrew somehow makes the playing surface hard on only the opposing players acl's lol.

And yet our WRs and TEs had no problem getting open and torching them.

I find it interesting that any Tennessee fan can complain about anyone else's field.

So my brother in law is the guy who sharpens and sets the height on the reels for the stadium mowers. This is in fact false. I just asked him if the mowing height was changed. He is UGA alum but he doesn’t work for the university some of the the mechanic work is outsourced to his company.

So, it wasn’t the rain and it wasn’t the grass. JUST WHAT COULD IT HAVE BEEN, that caused Tennessee not to win?

You say that, but let them have just one good season or pull off an upset and I'll bet you'll be rethinking that. LSU, barn and Tutorsee fans are pretty much alike in a lot of ways.

That is just stupid and no one is seriously arguing that. Anyone that has Uncle Lou in their fan base has no room to criticize any other loony fans
