Tuberville took a program in crisis and returned them to a contender without actually winning a championship. I have no doubt that he could have done the same at KState with or without Tony Franklin. You guys get so upset that not everyone worships a guy with a 4-38 record versus top 10 opponents

Tuberville would suck eggs at Kansas State. It's about resources. Auburn has a recruiting footprint in the South, especially the states of GA and AL. K-State is in the middle of nowhere in Kansas. Snyder made his career scrabbling together JUCO transfers and 2 stars into contenders.

So different conversation but I also think whats happened to Auburn over the past decade is pretty amazing. I remember when I didn't think twice about the program. Auburn in my opinion is a privilege to play.

As a pure football coach Bill Snyder takes a backseat to NO ONE in CFB in the last 60 years. Not Paul Bryant, not Nick Saban, not Woodie Hayes. He was the most detailed human maybe ever to grace a sideline.

This is my favorite take on Bill Snyder as it let’s me know that you’re 100% retarded and I don’t need to engage you in discussion. Best coach in last 60 years yet a sub 10% win rate versus top 10 opponents???

Look, I get what you are doing man. But before Snyder arrived at Kansas State, they beat 4 ranked teams in their school's history. They were 4-106.

Snyder won 23 games against ranked teams (23-61-1).

I get that beating 23 ranked teams isn't some amazing number, but you can't compare Kansas State to blueblood programs. It's Kansas State. That would be the equivalent of someone getting Vanderbilt or Kentucky to within 1 game of a national championship.

Just admit you're wrong and let's move on. Kansas St when Snyder took over was today's Kansas/Rutgers/Oregon St but had been that way for the previous 40 years. He took them a game away from the NC twice, and also had numerous top 10 finishes. Don't let the last few years take the shine off the dude. He was an incredible coach.

Just stop. The dude took walkons and 1*s and won major college football games and bowl games. He’s one of the best coaches of all time. You’re a damn idiot.

I wonder if he’ll end up being as wildly overrated as Snyder

Kansas St. had won 37% of its games (worst in division I) and had been to 1 bowl game in its 93 years of playing football before Snyder. They had not won once in 27 games when he took over. Snyder eventually took them to 19 bowls with bowl streaks of 11 in a row and 8 in a row. He also won 11 games in six of seven seasons at one point and finished in the top 10 five out of six seasons. He did remarkable with the worst gig in Division I.

Simply put you wouldn't know a football coach from a Duroc hog. Now get off the company computer and get back out there guarding the back gate. Engaging me? You would be like a pissant crawling up an elephant's leg with rape on his mind. LOL....

New to college football I see. Well, it's played with this thing called a "pigskin" (it's a ball shaped like an egg) and your team tries to move the ball to the other teams end of the field by running with it or throwing it to another teammate.

Lot of people watch this event in a thing called a "stadium"

They jump up and down whenever the ball is in play, it's just unreal. Oh, and get this , they even have bands playing in the middle of the contest. Not kidding you, dead serious.

And for some reason, after the game is over, some of the players get mad and dump a huge bucket of liquid on their coach. Or it could be he gets hot running up and down the sidelines and they just trying to cool him down or something.

Then there are these really weird men dressed up like Zebras, I kid you not, and they run around blowing whistles trying to get everyone's attention. My neighbor calls them Attention Whores. For some reason they all have yellow hankerchiefs and they must be drunk or something 'cause they can't ever hold on to them. Always dropping them.

Heck, one of them there stadiums has a guy who still thinks WWII is going on. He brings a cannon and fires that damn thing off. So far no casualties thank goodness.
And they got these real pretty girls wearing reallty short skirts standing on the sideline waving these colored paper like cloth things around. I think they trying to get a date. Anyway it's a neat event and you should come watch.
