JFF is going to set a Death Valley record for most total yards.

I just don't see how he goes for less than 500.

It's actually worse than you think and set up for a NC run like no other. The schedule above isn't correct either as we play SMU on Sept 21 and we play UTEP Nov 2 while dropping New Mexico. Beyond the teams played realize this is how it sets up

While we don't have a bye before Bama, we do have 2 patsies prior to Bama which this early in the season may be even better. A&M will have no excuses not to have worked out the bugs and be ready barring a freakish injury.

Bama is obviously at Kyle.

Patsy game at home against SMU just in case we beat Bama and have a letdown game.

Finally go on the road to Arkie

Bye week prior to traveling to Ole Miss for what should be the 3rd toughest game on the schedule.

Then we have a stretch of 4 straight home games that are all very winnable, Auburn, Vandy, UTEP, and State. We end our home schedule with almost a month left in the season to get started on the Kyle rebuild.

Dropped the New Mexico game so we can have a bye week before traveling to BR for what should be our 2nd toughest game against LSU. We also get LSU AFTER they have already played UF, UGA, and Bama so there is a very real chance they are out of the conference race with 2 losses (not meant as a flame but those are 3 TOUGH games, 2 of which are on the road). If we beat Bama and LSU has lost 2 then we could even drop this game and still have a very real shot at winning the West, the SEC, and the NC essentially doing what Bama did last year.

Finish out on the road against Mizzou.

So we have 8 home games, 2 byes both of which are before our more difficult games, no OOC threats (all at home too), and Bama at home.

It's amazing to see this schedule after last season when we had 12 straight games, 6 road games (including a Top 25 OOC on the road in their game of the year), and a stretch of 5 road games in 6 weeks. Is it fair? Of course not but who said anything about CFB is fair? A&M would have had a hard time scheduling much more OOC unless we played in a neutral site "one time" game because most of the big schools you have to be on the schedule years in advance for a home and home and we are still messed up from our conference move. We have contracts with USCw and Oregon down the road though we will have to see if they actually happen.

FWIW, I have little doubt the SEC office has no problem with A&M having an easy schedule this year. With the SEC Network about to launch they REALLY would love for A&M to have a big year to set up all those Texas carriers to pick up the Network right from the start. The difference between a red hot A&M team and a struggling one as the SEC Network launches could make the difference in terms of not just being picked up but if the package is part of the basic or sports packages. That may seem minor but it is tens of millions if not more dollars on the line with the enormity of the Texas market.

need i remind you guys that aTm had every ball and every call bounce there way against Bama....that Bama was in a slugfest the week before against LSU and was drained...and that by the end of the game Bama had JFF figured out....You give nick saban a whole off season to prepare for Jff.....it wont be nearly as close as last year. JFF season takes a dive week 3 and wont recover till they beat lsu.

This was on the money until here!

No way they come into Death Valley with a team with players who has never played there and win

I would say Bama's conference schedule is slightly easier than A&Ms.

It's close to a wash for non-conference, although 3 non-BCS schools and an FCS school gives A&M the easier docket (Although Bama has 2 FCS schools on their plate, VT gives them a little tougher non-conference schedule).

but SMU is BCS this year. They are in the Big East/America 12.

Also, Georgia State is in the Sun Belt as a transitional team.

Get over yourself. It's a tough place to play, absolutely. But "no way"?
And whether or not players have previously played in your venue isn't of much relevance.
