The thing that stands out is how weak A&M's non-conference schedule is. A non-conference slate of Rice, Sam Houston State, SMU and New Mexico is pathetic. Plus they get to avoid Florida, Georgia and South Carolina in the regular season. At least Florida has the excuse of playing Florida State every year to justify their pathetic yearly non-conference schedule. With the Texas rivalry dead for now, there's no excuse for the non-conference schedule that Texas A&M has next year. It's a joke.

We should be playing the Vols instead of the Gamecocks.
We still owe USCe a trip for the 2011 season I have no problem with it.

hilarious coming from a bama fan. The ONLY difference in the 2 schedules is y'all play a down V-tech team that has been consistently skull dragged by SEC teams.
Yeah, we should be playing TCU and Kent State. We'll get right on that.

Bama's schedule is weak too but they always play at least one credible non-conference opponent every year. Virginia Tech, Michigan, Clemson and Penn State have all finished in the top 10 in recent years. Not having ONE single non-conference opponent from a BCS conference is embarrassing.

Take a look at Saban's history coming off bye weeks. It's not that great.

Just another reason for us to play mad
This statement is kind of interesting. I wonder if players actually care about the schedule "disadvantage" as much as fans? You hear most players say they love the big games most, so they (unlike a lot of fans) might actually love a schedule with more big games.
I just wonder if perceived scheduling inequity really has any impact on a player "playing mad."
