I just can’t muster up excitement for the Fiesta bowl/LSU

We’ve already won that and the Peach Bowl. I guess I’ll grill and have a few cocktails but deep down I can’t be more disappointed. :(

Ok well guess what, when you play crappy opponents, you aren't gonna get respect from the committee. You should be thankful that you are given the opportunity again to play in a NY6 Bowl rather than be disappointed.

I'd have a hard time getting excited for the Fiesta Bowl too if I was an LSU fan. Getting disrespected having to play a team that played a complete powderpuff schedule. Nothing to gain and a lot to lose.

How was UCF scared? We offered a home and home with the Gators after they hid from playing UCF in the Peach Bowl. We don’t do 2 for 1’s w teams we don’t respect.

And no one does a home and home with a team they don't respect. Doesn't really matter to Florida if y'all play or not. Means a lot to UCF to play a better schedule.
What it all boils to is who has the cookie? Power5 conferences top teams, and ND, have the cookie, not UCF. Cater to them or remain irrelevant. Up to y'all.

I forget that UCF is a team that Mizzou is 2-0 against when fringe pundits are clamoring for their inclusion in anything of import.

Your team can't seem to muster up the excitement to make tackles against opponents run games either, hence your 117 ranking in run defense.
Not how this works. Your stadium capacity is less than 45,000 seats. That's little more than HALF the size of Ben Hill Griffin.
Teams like Florida don't go on the road to play teams whose stadiums are HALF the size of their own without at least 2 home games in return.

UCF was a cute story, and I like a few of its players like the QB and Trequan Smith last season. But the obnoxiousness of its fans and administration has soured almost the entire rest of the country on the school.

Boise State, probably the most successful Group of 5 program not to join a major conference, still doesn't insist on home and homes with their opponents and their success has come over the course of nearly 20 years.
