99% of Clemson posts talk about the win over Bama last season as one of the reasons why they believe Clemson will beat LSU this season.

Sure if you want to slice it that way. Face it. It will be a Championship Game. LSU is clearly the better team but Clemson is a great team as well. This will be a great matchup.

Buddy I have a college degree and own my own business with employees that I have have to pay every week. I'm not rich yet but I'm on my way. That is not a brag by no means. It is just to let you know you ain't dealing with no dummy. I have scored a 129 and 133 I.q score the 2 times I've been tested which is considered highly intelligent (borderline genius).

I'm accustomed to Clemson fans having convinced themselves that they are the greatest CFB team ever but this guy actually appears to be bragging on the fricking ACC. Fact is had Clemson been playing an SEC schedule the last few seasons they'd just be another also ran. Their fans have chosen to deliberately ignore this. As a previous poster said LSU is going to have to repeatedly shoot themselves in the foot for Clemson to have any shot. LSU by 24.

Yes Alabama won 2 of those against Clemson. That's true. But when you underestimate your opponent like Alabama and SEC fans did to Clemson and Auburn and SEC fans did with Fsu you might be in for a big surprise. I remember hearing from most SEC fans that the best of the Acc couldn't compete with the best of the Sec in the championship and we have won 3 of the last 6 championships against SEC teams and beat the best the Sec had to offer in the championship game. The point I'm trying to make is just because you play in the Sec don't automatically mean you may have have the best team that year.
Lsu has a great team and might be the best but I truly believe you will be playing the best (most complete on both sides of the ball) team that you have faced all year.

The point SEC fans are trying to make is just because you have the best team one year, doesn't mean you're in the best conference. Hence the 7–2 SEC bowl record this year vs 4–5 ACC.

I'm an Arkansas fan, I've pretty well gotten over my habit of understimating anyone. But the SEC began its reign of terror during the BCS and has consistently (not every year, but with staggering regularity) remained on top. Consider this:
The SEC has had five different teams win a National Championship since 1998 (Tennessee, LSU, Florida, Alabama, Auburn), the ACC has had two (Florida State, Clemson. Miami was in the Big East the year they won). The SEC has also had an additional team (Georgia) play for the National Championship (Miami was again in the Big East when they played for a second one, as was Virginia Tech in 1999). The only reason Georgia wasn't the sixth team to win an NC was because they were defeated by another SEC team.
The SEC has, additionally, had ten different teams finish in the top five at season's end (Tennessee, LSU, Florida, Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Arkansas, South Carolina, Texas A&M, and Missouri) since the BCS. The ACC has had two (Clemson, Florida State).
If you expand that list to top ten, the SEC adds Ole Miss for 11 of 14 teams to finish in the top ten since 1998. The ACC adds Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, and Boston College for a total of five of 14.
The SEC beats the ACC consistently by almost every metric. If Clemson joined the SEC, you would change your tune and start chanting "SEC! SEC! SEC!" at bowl games so fast your head would spin.

That's the point. Acc fans don't care much about who has the best conference top to bottom. We are most concerned if we have the best team in the nation (by winning championships). 50 years from now no one will care who had the best conference but they will look back in history and say this or that team won the National Championship. Georgia won the National Championship in 1980. I don't what conference was considered the best conference top to bottom in 1980. But I do know that Georgia had the best team in 1980. In the big scheme of things championships are what matters the most.
