No risk for Bama to have hired him. Bama kept Wimp when he had more serious PR issues than Bruce. Bama was too worried about their self-image that they pussed out of going after anything except a fruit of the month club member. It continues today. AU had nothing to lose, and it reestablish a forgotten program. Now Bruce has elevated it to a Top program within the SEC. It is a similar situation that programs have experienced with by not hiring Huge Freeze. I wish AU had done something similar and hired Freeze.

it hasn't been long enough to try that revisionist shite. The only reason Bama didn't try to hire Pearl is bc y'all didn't have a job opening, y'all still had hope for Grant and kept him around too long. Auburn beat y'all to Pearl, plain and simple Pearl wouldn't have stuck around in Tuscaloosa long anyway, y'all don't have the culture necessary to build a perennial winner in basketball

There are what seems like hundreds of alters on this board, and most are created by the same handful of posters and no one done shite about it. I don't see why this one should be banned when no one does jack squat about all the others. Or, is it that some are permitted to shite up the board with alters as long as they are of the correct stature or college affiliation?

The fvck we did. Bill Battle's senile old arse had hope for Grant too long, not any of us. I still remember when he put out his dumbass monthly "Battle Plan" newsletter and said he was keeping Grant around for a 6th year after the worst basketball season in 25 years. I've never been less interested in a basketball season than the 2014-15 one.
