My favorite part of this is OP saying they are not melting then proceeding to melt for the rest of the thread.

It’s okay, man. You said yourself LSU isn’t a rival. Everything will be alright.

Everything fair except:
quote:

LSU HC is a straight-up sorry excuse for a human being.

Don't believe the newly "discovered" propoganda like a hit piece for a politician who didn't vote the way media outlets wanted.

So he left.

There's a gap between those two sentences, Hoss. Not really sure what your question is.

My team's playing in the SECCG and has a playoff invite already in the mail. Just giving my two cents, hoss.

I haven't lost a wink of sleep over it.

For the record, I gave my two cents about on an OU board back in the day about Riley leaving. Never was really troubled by it.

I won't be pulling against LSU so much as Kiffin. And I probably speak for 90% of SEC fans that are not LSU fans. I probably wouldn't pull for UF to beat LSU or GA Tech to beat LSU if that matchup happened. But right now, I'd kind of be 50/50 on Auburn vs. LSU and UTK vs. LSU. Everybody else, I'm fully behind you as long as it costs my team nothing.

Kelly was a failure at LSU and he still produced an SEC championship appearance and heisman trophy winner. I think we’ll be ok

Also, blame the NCAA calendar not Kiffin

Successful coach takes a better job during coaching change season.

The horror.

Obviously what is being reported on Locked on LSU and Locked on Ole Miss are two different things.

The base facts do not change with the spin of either side.
1. It’s coaching change season
2. Kiffin is successful
3. Kiffin was offered a better job
4. Kiffin accepted the offer

It happens dozens of times every offseason.

How many more “non melting” posts are you going to make about this?

Successful coach

Uh, if you say so. But compared to who?

I'm not judging the guy or saying he's a lousy human being or anything like that, but the truth is, the guy's not that great of a coach. He was a pretty good OC, but he bombed out in 1 season at Tenn, flopped at USC, did ok at a directional school then has been at Ole Missy a while with absolutely zilch to show for it. Brian Kelly had a better resume and Ed O won a natty....2 seasons before they fired him. To think Kiffin is the arrival of the messiah is just a pipe dream.

I remember when Lane was coaching Florida Atlantic and Navy whupped his team 52-7. He was whining all night long on the sidelines. He’s a loser and will never win a NC. Laughing at you LSU.

What everyone on all 3 sides is leaving out: Kiffin wanted the LSU job.

We didn’t pull this off because of our excellent recruitment of him.

When the job you want opens up, the timing rarely works out. Last time it was open we didn’t want to go from Coach O to Kiffin as they were kind of the same beast.

That's like me saying I ate eggs for breakfast, but didn't tell you I used a fork to do it.

No one has doubted this.

Ole Miss guys on On3 been saying for weeks that it's pretty obvious if Ole Miss weren't in the playoff he'd be gone. They just wondered if he wanted to coach through the playoff enough to turn it down. It was never about the want to coach at the schools. It was about whether he'd be willing to give up a bird in hand for two in the bush.
