Ah resorting to insults, classic strategy for the idiots on this board... It's really simple, show us your betting slip for Tennessee if you actually believe what you posted. It's literally free money.

Yep. You're a simpleton.

I have no dog in this fight. I really don't care. Just like I called MSU over ASU last week. I think this one is also true along with Vandy over South Carolina.

Nah, as a Tennessee fan beating Georgia is about like beating Alabama. On the rare occasion it actually happens, it’s usually when it’s least expected. The current Tennessee team has too many injuries on the defensive side of the ball to win.

You either aren't a Tennessee fan or haven't been one for long.

Georgia is on an 8 game win streak that has gone on in and directly after one of the worst periods in UT football history, if not the worst. Since Fulmer was fired in 2008 Tennessee has only beaten UGA 3 times. Thats 3-13 since Fulmer for those who can't number well. Despite that, Georgia only has a 6 game lead in the series. Historically the series has been streaky, but fairly even over time.

This year's UGA team looks more like Jim Donnan's UGA than Smart's UGA.

Hasn’t this happened before where UGA came out the gates looking slow and sloppy while UTk looked like an unstoppable powerhouse only for UGA to beat the shite out of them?

Well the formula as of late is we play close or even get a small lead, but can't consistently move the ball so the second half snowballs because the defense has been on the field all game.

I think Tennessee's issue with Georgia is that there are only 2-3 teams in a given year in College Football that have linebackers and safeties who can cover a lot of ground and tackle. Georgia has been one of those teams under Kirby pretty much every year.

So when your offense is relying on creating and utilizing space, teams that can cover more space and get to the uncovered space quicker than others can simply defend against it better.

Now I do think Joey brings an element that hasn't been present in UT's offense at all under Heupel yet in that he has years of actual playing experience, he understands the offense, and he can both make throws and isn't afraid to try and make them.

Hendon is the only second year starter Heupel has had, and despite how good his 2022 was I think we can all agree that he had some limitations in terms of ability. Every other year he has been here he has had not only a first year starter, but it was their first full year starting in CFB at all. And yes, Hendon didn't do well against UGA in 2022. But it was both away, and against a team that no else beat and most didn't even move the ball well against either.

Maybe.

UGA doesn't have to be this great offense to win the SEC, or even to get to the national championship. We saw Notre Dame do it last year.

I have a hard time believing they would beat an Oregon or Ohio State, who might have similar defenses but at least as of right now seem far more explosive on offense. But they can still have a great season, and can still develop into something that can hang with those guys.

I think Tennessee has to get more physical up front on the offense and defense. Bottom line is Georgia is a physical team under Smart. Until Tennessee can match their physical aggression, we will struggle when we play them.
This series is not about coaching, scheming etc. It's about sheer will in the trenches. Blocking, protection of the QB, swarming defenses, beating the guy down up front.

I used to think that you knew what you were talking about.

Where has Pickle Weasel been hiding?
He is now my go to guy representing Ole Miss.

Sounds like I hit a nerve, which, admittedly, was the intended target.

I’d love to see it happen. I bet Kirby has a big surprise for us on Saturday. He’s very deliberate about what he reveals early in the season.

I’m going against the crowd here and think UGA 31-6, 38-9… something like that.

If we see the Stockton of the first 2 games (which I firmly believe he is who he is), we lose or win in a dog fight. I think UGA makes a QB change this year at some point

I honestly don't think Stockton is the problem. The OL is.

Stockton is throwing stuff short or running because pressure is in his face way too fast. Even when it's not, he still gets rid of it quick because he doest trust his OL to block (for good reason).

That being said, UGA has allowed more than 17 to Heupel since he arrived at Tennessee and I think this defense is good enough to keep the streak going. UGA probalby still has enough to win because of that, but turnover differential could get Tennessee the win. But if that's even, it's still UGA I think.
