If he is kicking the ball he is in the game. We pulled McCarron from the holding the PATs today.

I'm glad your righteous indignation is worth it.

Johnny played literally one timed play of the second half. That's it. Then, they had him kick the extra point for fun. Football is supposed to fun, guys. The Ole Ball Coach once attempted a 40 yard FG attempt during the year he won the Heisman.

Face it, this was a ploy to get Manziel more publicity in his Heisman campaign.

The haters seem to think this is some sort of contrived Heisman move. And they may be right. But after 3 PF's against Manziel I prefer to think of this as an "Oh yeah? Well take this" moment from Sumlin.

Didn't Manziel have kicking duty on his HS team?

he did everything in high school. he passed, ran, was a receiver, kicked, and kick returned

I learned today that there's a very real faction of SEC fans who genuinely want to see Texas A&M University fail; and they're looking for any/every reason to claim that to be the case. Earlier in the season I thought it was good-natured rookie ribbing; but for some, it's anything but. They wanted us to come in and lose every game, in every sport. We didn't. So now it's time to fire-up the strong reactions of shock, anger, & indignation.

Sumlin rubbed Bertolet's nose in it by letting Manziel kick.

Pretty much it

How do you know what was Sumlin's motive?
Bertolet has missed kick, after kick, after kick, after kick.
If he's not terrible, he has Chuck Knoblauch syndrome.

So they trotted the guy out there to kick a ball, they knew exactly what they were doing and it wasn't trying to find their best kicking option
ZOMG!!!

I dont think that is the case at all. I'm sure some people see it like them putting the water bottle girl in at QB because your winning big.
Sumlin prob did it to get your kicker to grow a pair and straiten up.

Alot of girls sure get ther panties in a wad over the most minor things here. I'm sure the premise is to use some kind of trick plays in the future on kicks and having JFF able to kick will help. He was practicing kicking all week.
