What's the difference in O or an interim finishing out the year?

You do you. Seems like State has enough issues to worry about us.

LSU. Perhaps you should try and be more like them and win more than one title.

No one fires someone and then lets them hang around.
You don’t want a coach hanging around knowing he’s fired and getting that buyout regardless. You have underclassmen on your team that will define the team for the next coach.

So what's the alternative?

Let an interim coach the team that won't be retained either?

You realize his whole staff is probably gone too right?

This isn't as big a deal as you're trying to make it.

When you're a National Championship program, you do whatever the frick you! LSU will resume its annual arse whipping of the doggies next year.

Well, are the interims water boys? If not, I would think a bit of improvement...

Who would you suggest?

Both coordinators are young, first time coordinators who are in their first season at LSU.

How is that any better than O?

Did you see an improvement in LSU between Kentucky and Florida games?

I surely did. The team was actually into the game.

Now ask why that might be the case.

This can't be good for recruiting, right? What's the message being sent to recruits about all this? Sure, an interim is not the long term solution but it's just weird with a dead man walking still being the face of a program.

Mississippi State. 2003. Jackie Wayne and the soul train dancers. It was a done deal by the Eggbowl.

Oh I’m sorry I thought you were honestly asking.

People keep saying this but I can't really see the difference in O or an interim finishing out the year.

Neither will be retained most likely plus there's really no good interim candidate.

You would think about the meager 9 points they produced with a home crowd. No one expected State College to win. But damn.
