and yes, it is pertinent to the SEC since they'll probably be in the playoffs the next few years.

2019 - 6 (early signing period)
2018 - 7
2017 - 16
2016 - 11
2015 - 9

nope. Makes me kind of glad to see Saban replacing some of the great young recruiters, though, with more experienced coaches.

It also applies to LSU if they get to the playoffs. har har har har har har har

The 17 class they signed 14 with an average rating of 92.10. Higgins AJ Terrell Amari Rodgers Travis Etienne among them

They get some very high end talent every year along with some solid 3 and 4 star guys and have very little attrition.

I knew they didn't generally recruit in the top 3, but their rankings kind of surprised me. Dabo doing a hell of a job.

Crazy how Dabo doesn't even need a consistent top-10 recruiting class to amass what will be one of the most dominant CFB dynasties of our lifetime.

Dabo truly is tGOAT

Development and steroids will do that. Maybe they're smart for not snagging every five star in sight but only in certain positions.

I stated in the past I wasn't a fan of getting top shelf talent every class. Turnover will catch up to you. It did for Miami and USC.

Rankings are overrated. Are you filing your team with talent that fits your system and culture. That's the mark of sustained program. Clemson is doing it better than anyone right now.

Not always. How many times have you heard people say Alabama wins so much because they have the best players.

Clemson being in the playoffs 4 times and winning twice , though, does indicate recruiting isn't the only way to do it. I think I read somewhere that he's lost only 2 coaches in the last 4 years. If they keep winning, and I believe they will, that will start to change.

Just proves Dabo is a better coach than Saban. Saban would have been 9-3, at best, with those classes.

So a 9-11 class can win a natty so long as they have chicken steroids?

Good scouting. Plus elite qb recruitimg. They have two generational qb talents in row.

Saban won with Shula players When Dabo's losing coaches left and right, we'll see how great he is.

and wide receivers. They usually get 3-4 star OL who also played basketball in the past. Mix in with the random gym rat/lunchpail guy.

Recruiting rankings are fake. If you believe recruiting rankings then Tennessee has one of the 15 most talented rosters in college football.

1. Who are the more experienced coaches?

2. I think you're right. The 8 out of 9 #1 recruiting classes surely had nothing to do with the success. Time to get away from that model.
