A. TWO-TEAM TIE
1. Head-to-head competition between the two tied teams.
2. Records of the tied teams within the division.
3. Head-to-head competition vs. the team within the division with the best overall record (divisional and non-divisional) Conference record and proceeding through the division. Multiple ties within the division will be broken from first to last.
4. Overall record vs. all common non-divisional opponents.
5. Combined record vs. all common non-divisional teams.
6. Record vs. common non-divisional team with the best overall Conference (divisional and non-divisional) record and proceeding through other common non-divisional teams based on their order of finish within their division.
7. The tied team with the highest ranking in the Bowl Championship Series Standings following the last weekend of regular-season games shall be the divisional representative in the SEC Championship Game.
B. THREE (OR MORE) TEAM TIE
1. (Once the tie has been reduced to two teams, go to the two-team tie-breaker format.)
2. Combined head-to-head record among the tied teams.
3. Record of the tied teams within the division.
4. Head-to-head competition vs. the team within the division with the best overall (divisional and non-divisional) Conference record and proceeding through the division. Multiple ties within the division will be broken from first to last.
5. Overall record vs. non-division teams.

7. Record vs. common non-divisional team with the best overall Conference (divisional and non-divisional) record and proceeding through other common non-divisional teams based on their order of finish within their division.
8. The tied team with the highest ranking in the Bowl Championship Series Standings following the last weekend of regular-season games shall be the divisional representative in the SEC Championship Game, unless the second of the tied teams is ranked within five-or-fewer places of the highest ranked tied team. In this case, the head-to-head results of the top two ranked tied teams shall determine the representative in the SEC Championship Game.

Thought number 8 was interesting.
Lets say All are 11-1
LSU is 3 , Bama 4, and TexAm 6....
If Bama beat LSU they go to SECCG

a scenario like this is very plausible in the West

Texas A&M
Bama
LSU
Ole Miss
Auburn
State
Arkansas
ETA: I think LSU could go anywhere from 8-4 to 10-2

I don't know much about what Arkansas is returning. I see some people think they will finish over Auburn and MSU. I know they lost a lot. Is there that much returning to think they will turn things around this year???

Agreed. A&M is gonna suck.
They'll blow their wad in the Bama game, and then stink the rest of the year.

I have high hopes for Atky but they are in Ayer one of a minimum two year project.
They will improve this year and play crisply but they are missing the game changers in key positions. Assuming their new players are legit, year two will be their year to move.

Is Ark going to the power I style offense or gonna stay with a spread?
I think people are sleeping on Auburn. That team has talent. They just gotta find a quality QB.(easier said than done)

In all seriousness, I think it's going to be far different from everyone's predictions this year. You got Arkansas and Auburn who just hired very qualified coaches who seem to know what they're doing. They'll be looking to get some big wins this year, and I don't think it's stupid to say that it's possible one of them will get a win over A&M or Bama.
It is faaaaaaar more likely that one of those teams upsets LSU than it is they pull our a miracle against Texas A&M or Alabama? Isn't Ole Miss already favored against the swamp kittens?

I think people are counting out LSU too quickly, if Les truly gives Cam full control of the offense, our offense could be very very good. I know we lost a lot on the defensive side, there will be a lot of new faces. Last year players admitted to not trying their best at times, the younger/new players will have the mindset to want to continue the tradition and prove themselves. Yes, we'll take our lumps early with much inexperience on the defensive side of the ball, but Chavis has always molded what he has into a solid to very good defense. What is a concern is our schedule, having to play the two best teams in the east, one on tthe road will be tough. I have no concern that we can compete with anyone in the sec, I'm concerned if we can do it "consistently"

What's more likely is LSU loses to UGA & UF early, but improves and beats Bama & A&M with 2 weeks to prepare for both. And Bama advances with one loss!

The reason why I said A&M or Bama is because they are going to be the two major teams this year. I think people already expect MSU, Arkansas, Ole Miss, or Auburn to beat LSU.

I don't think a single LSU fan believes this.

I never said LSU fans. Im talking about other SEC fanbases. I know quite a few A&M fans believe that.

What's more likely is it simply doesn't happen the way anyone thinks.

LSU , only needs mistake free qb, you win by defense and running the ball. Mets. doesn't have to win the game, just not lose it. I think your gonna be really good at the end of the season.

Especially those who think A&M is gonna run the table!
