Of course he was gonna leave…..just not when his team was 11-1 and hosting a Playoff game. That would be retarded.

You will see it more often with a 12 team playoff.

3 of the 12 coaches in the CFP this year left their schools.

I want you to seriously think about this. LSU is your direct competitor and rival. We play each other every year. You are our enemy. You had something good and we took it, which is exactly what we should have done and exactly what you would have done to us if given the chance.

We had Miles and he had a secret apartment to bring co-eds to. Then we had Orgeron who had his girlfriend's kids at practice. Not to mention both guys were stealing from a children's hospital. Following all of that, we hired a guy that had recently killed a kid. This Lane shite is child's play to us at this point.

Also true

Fair assessment?

As said, no one on this board hired him or had a say in it. As long as some good comes out of it, who cares.

Pretty much nailed it.

I mean… other than Saban, and maybe DiNardo to a little extent, we haven’t had coaches leave the program in better shape than they had befire they arrived.

We are use to spectacular success then massive failure. But… you know what’s interesting, other than Bama, Georgia, and.. maybe Texas & OU, when our coaches are fired, our program is still in better shape than almost every other school in this conference.

Who knows? Coaching hires are always a crapshoot. I don't know anyone who would be a better option.

Yeah I've said this in other threads. He will probably bring us up to the peak and then absolutely burn the mother fricker down on his way out. It's how we roll.

By general public you of course mean people in your circle and some guy you heard on TV.

Everyone else isn’t dumb enough to expect LSU to work against their own interests.

You people are legit retards.

Yes. This year OM was better than LSU. What you people are failing to realize is that the Kiffin effect of being able to bring in top level transfer talent ENDS at the clip you all have now become accustomed too. This scares the ever loving shite out of you. Deep down you know this. Deep down you know Golding Is not going to be able to maintain the success level on par with what Kiffin did there.

And this SCARES THE shite out of you.

So yes, LSU is excited to get Kiffin, the transfer players that will follow from OM and around the country, and the blue chip guys that we usually recruit. Kiffin will probably have multiple trips to the CFP with LSU- he may actually be able to win a NC, but no one on our side expects the guy to retire here.

And when he leaves, we have already shown that $ is no object to attract a high level HC and to take one from a playoff bound team should LSU set their sights on him.

Now, enjoy your Sugar Bowl, loss to UGA, hang your CFP banner in that little stadium. No one can ever take this 2025 season away from you all.

This is 100% correct. When he blows it up and leaves we'll say thanks for the hardware and hire the next guy.

Following Auburn's playbook to the letter... How Gene Chizik was succeeded by Gus Malzahn, Brian Harsin and Hugh Freeze...

plus $54 -> 150 million ....

Hardware won---- Zero - ?

So would Florida or FSU still be scum if Kiffin went there?

LSU said they would wait on Kiffin. Ole Miss is the reason Kiffin is at LSU so esrly

Blame OM. He wanted to coach.

Two other playoff teams had the same exact situation. They allowed their coaches to coach.

You are allowing assistant coaches who also left to stay and coach.

You really have no leg to stand on for this argument.
