Absoutely terrible situation for him. Truly is and I do wish him the best.

With that being said, it comes with the terriority.

I also don't recall Bama fans showing much concern for the many other athletes that have been hurt on opposing teams.

Tua is not some God.

I'm not saying this to be rude because I do want to see him play pro.

I feel bad for him as well. Never want to see any player hurt. Every time you strap on those pads and take the field there is a chance that you could be hurt and in some cases, hurt to the point of never being able to play again. Every player knows this, but their love for the game in greater than the fear of being hurt. Tua is an outstanding player as well as an outstanding person, and I pray that he is able to recover from this and still be able to play in the NFL.

The selfish part of me really hates that I'm not gonna get to see one of our league's all-time greats suit up and play one last time in Jordan-Hare in a couple weeks.

I really do hope his recovery goes off without a hitch and he defies the odds and gets to live his dream of playing football in the NFL. If he doesn't, I'm sure he will find success in whatever he chooses to do with his life because he is a great guy with great character. Here's to a speedy recovery Tua.

He's still getting a quality education and got to play a sport at almost the highest level and have fans adore him. Think about all the lower tier players that have been hurt this season for lesser teams and out for the year and maybe their career. No one gives a shite or sending all these thoughts and prayers for them in multiple threads.

I don't think it's a terrible tragedy. It's just someone playing a sport that can and does injure a lot of people. It's a chance you take every time you strap on the pads and players should know that.

He is in a lot better position in life than 95% of the players in college that get hurt. He will still have chances in life most can only dream of in life if he can't go pro.

No one wants to see anyone hurt, especially any type of major injury.
I too pray for his quick recovery and future wellbeing.

Oh yeah, to match all the sympathy shown by Alabama fans over the years for LSU players who have been injured.

That said, get well soon, Tua!

His injury has definitely cast a pall over the 2019 football season. Here's to a full recovery to a great young man and an even better second act in the NFL.

For those of us who didn't see it:

I heard it was Bo Jackson-esque. Did he get hit or land at a bad angle? What happened?

And yes, prayers for the young man, as for all the young men risking their health for an education.

Nado and other LSU fans have said a lot of good things already on this. No need to keep on and on. No need to start any shite over it.

I liked seeing Breiden Fehoko's reaction:

quote:

Prayers up for you uso . Alofa atu always bro. @Tuaamann

These men represent a lot more than their schools. They have Hawaii, Samoa and all of Polynesia on their back. True warriors in the line of all those that came before them. And now they are making a name for themselves in the best conference in the land.

If you ever find yourself on the island of Oahu, go to the Polynesian Cultural Center. It's a tourist trap for sure. Breiden's dad, Vili the Warrior, used to be one of the performers in the big evening show there. But the PCC is also home to the Polynesian Sports Hall of Fame. Lots and lots of football players on those walls. Warriors all. Tua was quickly on his way to becoming the greatest of all.

Here's to a speedy recovery.
