You are talking about the team that was ranked number 1 for weeks. If they win out, they could easily be in.

I was talking to Connie (or Brown Sugar as GB calls her) and she says the committee is speaking with one voice and that you guys don't know what you are talking about.
By the way, she tells very funny stories about Colin Powell that I won't repeat.

all we have heard is how the committee will put weight on conference ships.
Yeah...you've heard this from some talking heads...but never the committee or Jeff Long.

Only Bama can do such things.

I don't think Miss St will make the playoff if they don't win their division
After all, that is the entire reason we have this clusterfrick of a system to begin with.
They are in as of now, but at the end of the day I do not see them being selected over a 1 loss conference champion.

This is actually some pretty funny shite. First of all, if MSU beats Ole Miss, that will be a better quality win than OSU would possibly have in the B1GCG.
Second...you do realize that a one loss TCU will NOT be a conference champ unless Baylor loses, right?

State should be in if they win out..

They will be. The committee has already told everyone that as of right now, they're in. And MSU has the best remaining game as far as improving their resume...better than either TCU, OSU, or Baylor.

If MSU wins out, regardless of whether or not they play in the SEC Championship game, they will make the playoff.

[quote]Personally, I don't want our team to be in unless we somehow make it to ATL and win, except maybe if Baylor and TCU shite the bed and a terrible upset happens in the PAC or B1G CG.
Personally, the message above from Dalfy15 is actually from Bo Wallace's father.

If the committee wanted to only have 1 SEC team in, then this was their opportunity to do it by dropping MSU to 5th or 6th and bumping the others ahead.
Or they wait until a tOSU wins the B1G and them give them a bump because then they are a "conference champion."

Yes, I do. How in the world did you get that I didn't from my post?

You are a wise prophet. Actually no, it's pretty obvious. Anyone who knows anything about football knows that they have to win out.

Of 4-7 ranked teams they have the best remaining matchup on their schedule to solidify their spot.

Still too many games left. I would not be surprised if Oregon State beat Oregon. I also am anxious to see the Florida vs Florida State, Auburn vs Alabama game and the MSU vs Ole Miss games. I fully expect one of the top 4 teams to lose at least one more game and be knocked out of the playoff. Then I believe Ohio State and the other three (if they do not lose another game) all to be in the playoff.
