I don’t know why DJ U has not really lived up to expectations but when that other kid came in and started throwing the ball looked like it had a ton more zip on it.

No, he wasn’t. He was a one-read and scoot QB like LSU’s is now. And he was horrible reading the option. And turrible at pre-snap reads. Literally, any other Saban era QB on that 2016 team and it cakewalks to a NC.

It is kind of surprising DJ was offered by Clemson, I would have thought he would be a tougher runner like Tajh Boyd

It will be curious to see if that freshman QB at Clemson deteriorates the longer he stays at Clemson like DJ and Trevor. Zach Smith says the QB coach at Clemson simply isn't a good coach.

I don't either.

It's not TUA and Hurts.

Hurts had a great skillset with elite OCs scheming for him.

Tua as well, but a very different set of skills.

DJ is a good not elite QB. Dabo needs to cut the cord and put the better QB in if he wants to stay in the chase this year. He has a solid defense. But, that was like watching paint dry for 3+ Qtrs with their starter.

Wave bye-bye to ANY credibility you ever had around here.

The freshman is WAY better. DJ isn't good. Lacks decision-making skills... misses easy reads, not even a very good runner.

If Dabo want's a shot at a Natty the freshman better be the dude quickly.

Their defense is good enough to get them there but the offense will be a liability until there's a change at QB.

Tua was more of a minority than Hurts, for the record

Most of us in the South are a little bit mongrel, and Hurts was definitely whiter than Tua.
