Ah, yes, you must mean Alabama and Georgia. They are the only two SEC teams to have higher ranked recruiting classes than Texas in the last two cycles. I'm sorry, I'm missing your point?

I’ll slow down so you can follow along. Texas routinely gets the left over dribble after elite programs from the SEC walk into Texas and take what we want.
Again, the fricking classes you’re pretending are worth a shite, specifically the secondary, gave up 340 yards passing to LA Tech. I understand that this is common place a Texas, but everyone else is laughing at you.

Sure thing, bud. I'm not sure what Alabama and Georgia's recruiting success has to do with LSU or the rest of the SEC but I'm not a conference homer like some of you SECSECSEC boys. How exactly do you consider having lower rated recruiting classes than Texas to be out-recruiting Texas? How does that work exactly? Do Bama and Georgia's players get to suit up for the swamp kitties next week or something?

If all you have to rely on is freshmen and sophomores it's going to be a long day. Herman has no doubt elevated the program, but don't cherry pick stats so obviously. Try to hide your bias just a bit and more people will take you seriously.

Ehlinger is gonna be leaving the field on crutches. I hate to see players get hurt but our defense is nasty, hungry and out for blood.

We have 19 juniors and 12 seniors on this team. Yes, we do have a lot of young players that will play but many of them redshirted last year and should be able to hold their own within our system.

I'm assuming you didn't watch the game since it was on LHN. Our defense essentially played as vanilla as possible the entire game. We were absolutely fine with giving them everything underneath and letting their drives fizzle out when their OL began to tire later in the drive. It's pretty simple really. Bend don't break and show as little of our actual defense as possible against an inferior opponent the week before playing said opponent's in-state flagship university that will undoubtedly come calling for intel.

I'm sure Sam is shaking in his boots.

Are you trying to convince LSU or yourself?
God Bless Texas OL, they gonna need it. And I do not expect to see you for weeks after the game.

Gonna be humble pie after that LSU win. Just be a man and step up to the plate with no excuses and say “The better team won.”

I love how you diss your own team by saying the elite teams in the SEC get talent that Texas wants yet the swamp kitties have recruited worse than Texas in the last two cycles. What's the matter, Tigger? You don't consider yourselves among the elite?

If the more talented classes couldn't get on the field above the less talented upperclassmen, that's not a good sign. We're not at practice every day, so we don't know how good they really are, but judging from last year (I've watched every UT game for the past two years, thank you longhorn network YouTube channel) the freshmen who weren't ready that were forced into playing (CBs who had to play when upper classmen were hurt or suspended) it went badly. Guys like Sterns and Foster are awesome. Guys like Cook... have allot to prove. And I loved Cook as a recruit. Assuming the redshirt freshmen will come in and be awesome is normally going to let you down. Jameis Winston and Greedy Williams are the exception, not the rule.
Another thing to point out about those past two #3 classes, they had 27 and 26 prospects, respectively. They averaged 91 points per recruit. Which is better than LSU's 90. But LSU's classes that are Juniors and seniors both averaged 91 as well. While Texas averaged 87 and 90.
You're the one who brought up recruiting rankings and I think it's pretty clear LSU has sightly higher ranked recruits and allot more game experience.

You sound supremely confident in LSU's abilities. Is that because Miss. State is 2-16 against the kitties since 2000? Listen, bud. Just because you boys can't seem to muster a win against them doesn't mean that Texas can't either. That's not how this works. Funny thing is, y'all actually beat them two years ago and aggy beat them last year (albeit that game was a complete farce) so I'm not seeing why Texas should be concerned when we get LSU at home and they do not travel well historically.

You’re slow. It’s ok.
340 yards passing and almost 100 yards rushing to LA Tech.

You're not wrong. LSU did recruit at a very high level in 2016-17 and I'm sure a good chunk of those kids are still on the roster. I think you'll see that the talent gap is much closer than what you are expecting. Cook has grown up a lot in the last year and he will definitely be needed. The nice thing is that our secondary is so deep that we can cover a lot of deficiencies with scheme by lending the young corners some support without necessarily exposing ourselves to the deep threat. The speed in our secondary is some of the best I've seen at Texas in a good while. I do not think LSU will be able to run the ball against Texas like they are accustomed to. This will force them to pass more and, let's face it, Texas is well tested against elite passing teams. There will be nothing that LSU shows Texas that we haven't seen before from much better QB's and exponentially better OC's.
