But Vanderbilt no longer fits in the new SEC. They add nothing and they're only another mouth to feed. We would be better off to make room for Clemson and/or FSU.

Vandy is currently SEC, you are not. You also have a losing record to them in football.
Vandy is one of us and always will be because their inclusion means the SEC has a private school, a great academic school, and a bitchin baseball program.

I get they're an original member of the league and they gave the conference some much needed academic cred, but you have Texas for academics now which makes little sense to keep Vanderbilt. I don't think they care much about football anyway.

EVERY P5 conference has at least one private school. Do you know why??? It's because it always them to be exempt from certain FOIA laws ($10 says you had to Google FOIA).
They are also a founding member of the SEC. They are also a great academic institution that provides the SEC a foothold in Nashville, a large market.

I doubt Vanderbilt delivers the Nashville market and they have no interest in football which drags down the rest of the conference by association.

UTAustin isn't used to clearly not being the best academic institution in its conference. They want Vanderbilt gone so that they will at least have something to cling to when they can't win football games in the SEC.
