Curry and Copeland were damn good pass rushers. The gamelan that was devised for the 93 Sugar Bowl or the Miami game you are talking about may have been the greatest defensive gameplan ever in the sport of college football. Putting everyone on the line of scrimmage defensively totally confused Miami that night. It was a brilliant plan executed by a brilliant defense.

My mom and dad were divorced so I ended up going to my dad’s house to watch the game on cable so I didn’t have to screw with the rabbit ears lol.

Miami has the worst fan base I have ever experienced. I saw them throw beer on a woman who was cheering for Wisconsin in Orlando in 2009. She wasn’t taunting them or otherwise being a bad fan. I think Miami turned the ball over. It was in the 30s.
In the Sugar Bowl against Florida their fans sucked arse.
In the kickoff classic or whatever it was called against LSU in Dallas they were thugs and tried to bully a father and his young son who were just walking. They blocked the sidewalk when they got close and made them walk into the road to go around. Mind you they were set up in the parking lot and not near the sidewalk.
Against Penn St in the Fiesta Bowl they weren’t to bad because the thugs probably couldn’t afford to fly and their corsicas were probably too big a pos to make it

F the SEC. I never understood pulling or supporting a team because they were in the SEC.

But the thing is that is was also true to me. LSU was my 2nd favorite team for a very long time. My late best friend(RIP) was a die hard LSU fan and I used to do some work in the Ole Miss archives that exposed me to some incredible bits of history in the rivalry. I love it. I still firmly believe that Vaught had pro-LSU leaflets dropped over the campus which lead to LSU’s coach dropping pro-Ole Miss leaflets over their campus instead of the schools doing it to each other.
There’s an incredible history between the schools but unfortunately some of the LSU fans(and you’re more than welcome to blame ours) made it insufferable. Mix that with Lane Kiffin now being the head coach of LSU after doing what turned out to be a year long self-help PR tour including an ESPN special…..and yeah…..frick LSU.
We’re now on the opposite end of Houston Nutt with Arkansas. We get why they hated him now.

George Teague. Dude had an all-time moment in the game against Miami. There was a penalty on the play, but nobody really gives a shite because of the result of the game and the boss move he did. Reminds of the Brad Wing celebration against Florida in that regard.

I was in fifth grade and sitting around the 10 yard line where Teague stripped Lamar Thomas but on the opposite side of the field.
He returned an interception for a td earlier in that game.
