I do miss SEC Pride

I have a core memory from my childhood being at my uncle’s house and everyone cheering on Alabama kicking the shite out of Miami in 1993. We cheered for Alabama and the
SEC for beating the shite out of those loudmouthed thug fricks. I was at the national championship in 2008 when LSU thumped Ohio State and the fans started screaming “SEC, SEC”! Not “LSU LSU” I guess those days are gone Forever :(

LSU fans chose to become unhinged when Saban arrived at Alabama. Alabama does not have a rivalry with LSU and never did; LSU fans hated Saban for leaving their favorite NFL team, Miami.
LSU had a rivalry with Saban and that rivalry with a single coach has turned the whole fan-base into unlikable, rude, stupid, and gross people that hardly anyone, from any fan-base, likes any longer.

Probably because everyone hated Miami.

no you didn't, and that's perfectly fine. We're rivals. You're not supposed to root for LSU, and that made Kiffin leaving Ole Miss for LSU that much more insulting. And it's perfectly understandable for Ole Miss fans to have the feelings they do now, too, for that reason.

I have plenty of memory of that game. Bama had won titles before but I was a toddler. That was the first Natty I was old enough to actually know what was going on. I was nervous as hell all that week but had an overall good feeling for some reason about the game.
That was the best defense I ever watched play. 2011 Bama and LSU were pretty close but the 92 group was about as bad arse as a defense can be.

I've always enjoyed partying in Baton Rouge and was happy for yall in the 2019 season.
I have a lot of fun memories there from the early 2010s in my college days. I used to go to a lot of parties in BR when Ole Miss was playing a cupcake or at an away game I didn't want to travel for.
In 2009 I met up with some LSU chicks and snuck in a girls dorm building the weekend yall played Tulane. I had to open the stairwell door and an alarm went off. I had to run up the stairwell as fast as I could. It went off numerous times that night from other girls sneaking guys up to their dorms.

Did they forget that Bama could’ve demanded a supershare of the revenue split during the Bryant or Saban title runs but did not do so in favor of having a great league?

I still remember the defensive ends Copeland and Curry and I was like 7. And they had that guy that knocked out TO when he danced on the star I think.
