disliked Miles until this weekend. I was at the beach in Gulf Shores with my golf group and we are sitting in chairs when a super nice gentleman came up to us and said he was from Lake Charles and wanted to congratulate us on our win (a couple of us had Bama hats on). We talked more about Lake Charles and the oil spill than football until his grandson came up who is in the 4th grade. We asked him if he was going to play football when he got older and he said he wanted to play at LSU. Of course we said he should consider coming to Bama and play for coach Saban. This kid said if Saban is still there then he would much rather play for Saban than Miles. His father (who supposedly played for LSU in the past) must have been talking about Saban and Miles.

We cracked up and his grandfather just laughed. They are super people as most LSU fans are when you talk to them face to face.

This is damn close to the Alabama fans who used to say we'd win if the Bear was still alive.

Dye only faced his former boss twice. A loss in 1981, and a win in 1982. Auburn finished sixth in the SEC in 1981, and third in 1982.

Pat Dye traded his mug for your Tundra? Did he at least throw in a bottle of whiskey?

Yeah he is soooo generous. But I meant to say Irish coffee, so yeah there was a little extra included.

Since he is posting on the internet, I will assume that the internet is what he is referring to. Not that tough of a concept really...

I don't really think that one dude with his grandson on the beach and about 30 or 40 posters on a message board = the entire Tiger Nation.
