I can see Arkansas and Texas A&M switching places in the SEC West

I see Arkansas as a program on the rise, a program building a foundation that will make them a consistent winner for the forseable future. There were growing pains in 2013, and probably again in 2014, but they are playing the long game here and will establish a consistent winner, and the most likely challenger to LSU, Auburn and Alabama in the SEC West. This is a program that looks to be very well off in the long run. Wait and see, Arkansas will be very formidable starting in 2015 and a team to look out for.
Meanwhile I can see Texas A&M occupying the spot Arkansas once held in the bottom of the SEC, I think their window of opportunity passed. With all that talent and high draft picks in 2012/2013 the best they could do was 3rd place SEC West and a Cotton Bowl. Now with all that talent gone, they have good recruits but we will have to see if they actually materialize, especially under Snyder who is a lousy D-Coordinator, can't win in the SEC without a good defense and right now I don't see any evidence A&M is focused on being a solid defensive team. A bad defense = bottom of the SEC standings.

Their offense under Sumlin will always be too good for this.

Nah. They won't switch places, Texas A&M will just join them in the basement.

i don't think A&M takes a step back from 8-4... I could see 9-3 or remaining at 8-4. No way they go to the bottom of the west.
no doubt arkansas will be a better team in 2014... but 8 wins is too ambitious... 6 or 7 would be reasonable. Their game with A&M is definitely winnable, though.
Arkansas's schedule is pretty rough.... at Texas Tech is losable... and NIU will be a challenge (even w/o lynch)... and their east draw is Mizzou and UGA.
