I said Miami was vastly overrated before the game was played and they were. However, I didn't expect LSU to look as good as they did. I figured it to be a close game but LSU manhandled them.
If LSU beats AU then they will have defeated a legit top 10 team. Everyone will be taking notice of LSU if that happens, especially on the road.

Every team that steps on the field with this LSU team has a very good chances of losing including Auburn, Florida, Georgia and Alabama. I saw nothing this weekend that would tell me otherwise. The defense is for real. Burrow's ability to read defenses was a step above what we have had since Matt Flynn. He is accurate throwing the ball too. Not a bad college start.

Come on now Pat, the talking heads was just saying who they thought could be competitive. Most picked LSU 3rd or 4th in west which has to been case for the last couple of years. Those same talking heads had Miami as a Top 10 team. I also notice you flock to these type of threads but are absent when some of your fellow LSU posters makes threads spitting malarkey about Bama....Aleast Triple Dave is consistent on being a fence sitter on both sides of the coin.

Man, honestly, even when BAMA is clearly better than AU I still worry about playing games in their stadium. It's tough.
If LSU wins it'll be fun. Won't hurt my feelings in the least. Either way, someone will likely melt. Lol

Both LSU and AU have some concerns with the Oline. Either team could win but if you're unbiased you have to like Auburn in JHS.

I came away from that game thinking Miami was sloppy and just plain not that good (the same thing I thought last year), but that LSU looked competent.
Like lost have said, we'll find a lot more out about LSU in 2 weeks.

Endured an entire summer of being told we would be lucky to win 6 and then we go out and dominate the opener vs a team everybody picked to win.
How else are we supposed to react?
